Information
Introduction:
The institution to be established takes the team of the Professor Luo Xianwu as the core, who is the director of the Institute of Fluid Mechanics & Engineering, Department of Energy and Power Engineering, Tsinghua university. A multidisciplinary platform on the technology research and development is built to achieve the exiting technology achievements transformation. In addition, research and development on the fluid control and advanced power technology are carried out to contribute the technology development, cultivating innovative talents and serving the society.
Core technologies:
The research team has the high hydraulic performance pump design technology, silent multi-stage canned pump technology, high cavitation performance pump technology, high-pressure valve sealing technology, high-precision fluid control technology, fluid storage and management technology and integration of the complex fluid system technology. Particularly, we gain a deep research foundation in high-efficiency fluid power technology, high-precision fluid control technology, fluid storage and supply technology, system assembly integration technology and some other aspects.
Industrialization process:
Based on the research foundation and technical advantages of the Institute of Fluid Mechanics & Engineering in Tsinghua University as well as many years’ cooperation with aerospace institutes, our research team applies the micro-pump technology to the aerospace industries and weapon systems and promotes its applications to hydrogen energy industries.
Specific industrialization projects include fluid circuit pumps, thermal control systems, cryogenic pumps, cryogenic fluid storage and supply systems, high-pressure fluid control components and propulsion systems.
Recently, based on our existing technologies, our research group has aimed at the aerospace and military equipment markets to realize the technologies transformation. We have reached preliminary cooperation intention with partners on the component system with ultrahigh pressure argon and would cooperate directly after the institute establishment.
Based on the aerospace technology, the long-period goal is to realize the large-scale transformation from the fluid circuit pumps, thermal control systems, cryogenic pumps, cryogenic fluid storage and supply systems, high-pressure fluid control components and propulsion systems into the hydrogen automotive industries, making a breakthrough on the transformation from a single product to the system manufacturing upgrading.
In the future, our research team will make use of the research and development advantages of Tsinghua University and the aerospace institute together with industrial policy advantages provided by Tianjin. We will make our efforts to establish a consortium in three to five years focusing on advanced fluid control as well as power products and systems with integration of research, development, design, production, assembly integration and sales.
