Information

The signing ceremony of Research Center for Railway Traffic Friction and Lubrication, which was jointly established by Tianjin Research Institute for Advanced Equipment, Tsinghua University (hereinafter referred to as “THTI”) and Vanguard (Beijing) Technology Joint Stock Limited Company (hereinafter referred to as “Vanguard Technology Company”), was held on July 24, 2018. The establishment of the Research Center of Railway Traffic Friction and Lubrication will play an important role for promoting Vanguard Technology Company and THTI in the field of typical friction materials for rail friction (Pantograph-catenary friction pair, brake friction pair, wheel rail friction pair). With the support of THTI leaders and research platform, the Research Center for Railway Traffic Friction and Lubrication will make new and greater contributions to national economic construction and social development.

Core Technology
Based on the unique friction detection technology, the Research Center for Railway Traffic Friction and Lubrication is proposed to study the macroscopic and microscopic effects of different contact cables and different carbon materials at the same and different speeds, and explore the friction and wear properties of the brake shoe and brake pad to help vehicle manufacturers, pantograph manufacturers and urban rail/subway companies to select pantograph carbon skateboard products and provide related technical services.
