Research Center for Surface Engineering (RCSE) is a part of the Tianjin Research Institute for Advanced Equipment , Tsinghua University. The RCSE  has been committed to the research and development of surface treatment process, materials, equipments and the application of correlative products in manufacturing industry for about 15 years.

The RCSE was composed of professor, postdoctoral fellows, and engineers. Among them, Professor Tianmin Shao is the director of the RCSE. Research group of the RCSE has a strong foundation of research, undertaking a lot of projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Science and Technology Major Project of China, National Basic Research Program of China (973) and industries.Group members have attended many international or national seminars and have published many papers and patents. Some research results have been applied to engineering practice.

The RCSE is involved in research in numerous of surface science and technology, with a special focus on the areas of coatings / films, surface texturing, and deposition equipment.
The RCSE wants to play an important role in surface engineering research area, and becomes a leading center for research and application of surface engineering in China. We sincerely hope to establish friendship relations with all  of our partners.

We have very good clients and partners, such as KONE China, Beijing Tinghua Chuangxin Science and Technology Co.,  Research institute of Petroleum Exploration & Development, and Wuhan Research Institute of Materials Protection, with whom we have developed good relationships.
