Wudadao Culture and Tourism Area

Located on Stadium Street in Heping District, Tianjin, Wudadao Culture and Tourism Area is a rectangular area surrounded by Machang Road, Xikang Road, Guizhou Road and Nanjing Road. It has 23 streets. In 2011, it was identified as the Wudadao Historical and Cultural Area by the Tianjin Municipal Planning Bureau. There are more than 230 buildings of British, French, Italian, German and other western styles, and more than 50 celebrities’ houses and famous buildings. The varied architectural forms such as Renaissance, Greek, Gothic, Romantic, and Eclectic Doctrine and the combination of Chinese and Western styles have made this area a "World Architecture Exhibition."

Italian-style Town

The Italian-style Town is located in Hebei District, the original Italian concession. T he square areas surrounded by the four roads of Wujing Road, Bo'ai Street, Shengli Road and Jianguo Street in Hebei District are collectively called Italian-style Street. Currently, more than 200 European style buildings are preserved. It reflects the rich Italian style. Liang Qichao’s Yinbing Mansion, Cao Yu’s former residence, Yuan Shikai’s and Feng Guozhang’s residence are all located here.

Nankai University

A key multidisciplinary and research-oriented university directly under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Nankai University, located in Tianjin on the coast of the sea of Bohai, is also the alma mater of our beloved late Premier Zhou Enlai.Nankai University was founded in 1919 by the famous patriotic educators Zhang Boling and Yan Xiu. 

Zhou Enlai-Deng Yingchao Memorial Hall

The Zhou Enlai-Deng YingchaoMemorial Hall is located in the beautifulWater Park scenic zone and covers an area of 70,000 square meters. It was builton the eve of the 100th anniversary ofZhou Enlai’s birthday on February 28,1998. It is a national first-class museum and a national patriotic educationdemonstration base.Comrades Zhou Enlai and Deng Yingchao spent their youth in Tianjin, where they met, got to know each other, fell in love and jointly embarked on the revolutionary road to spreadrevolutionary ideas and explore the truth needed to save the nation and the people. 

Homeland of Operas

Tianjin is a famous water transport centre in northern China. The blending

of culture and folklore, the rapid urban development and diversified urban life, have made Tianjin a veritable "Homeland of Operas". Peking Opera Masters MeiLanfang and Ma Lianliang both performed in Tianjin stage.
