Recently, Qidong COSCO Marine Engineering successfully completed the factory test (FAT) of the N1063 project thruster through the quality remote inspection center.

During the test, the field engineers cooperated remotely through the AI remote assistance system, and the participating inspectors took a panoramic view of the video, audio and other field conditions from the first perspective through the system platform to achieve real-time connection and witness at any time. The test items such as the rotation test of three propellers, the rotation inspection of adjustable pitch propellers, and the shaft seal leakage test were successfully completed.

By using the remote inspection system jointly developed by the enterprise and Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University, Qidong COSCO Marine Engineering Quality Remote Inspection Center can use digital power to strengthen the interconnection with external suppliers, implement comprehensive supply chain process quality control data informatization, and use it for the whole process management of external suppliers, including external supplier audit, meeting, process inspection, FAT and final inspection release, etc, achieve a high degree of coordination and rapid response among companies, customers, external suppliers and third-party inspections in supply chain control.

The system establishes real-time audio and video communication with background experts through "5G AR" technology. It enables background experts to empower field engineers through functions such as one-key frozen screen, AR annotation, high-definition video, stable voice, file transmission, focus zoom, PC screen sharing, etc. to achieve the purpose of completing remote inspection. At the same time, the platform can automatically form inspection reports on video, language, files and other contents.
In combination with the relevant requirements of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry's "learning from Kawasaki" work, Qidong COSCO SHIPPING Offline Industry has fully implemented the "one enterprise, one policy" quality management improvement plan, continuously strengthened the supply chain management and the development and application of innovative technologies for remote inspection, broke through regional restrictions, got rid of the impact of the epidemic situation, ensured key project nodes, effectively reduced input quality risks, and provided assistance for the company's operation and production, it marks an important step in the digital transformation of quality management.
Since June this year, Qidong COSCO Shipping Quality Remote Inspection Center has successfully completed the implementation of the process inspection of three propellers, generator FAT and pile leg manufacturers in N1063 project. Next, the company will further improve the remote inspection process, the use of quality remote inspection center to do a good job of external supplier quality audit, key supplier quality control, outsourcing/outsourcing quality control, FAT and other work, continue to promote quality management work to achieve new results.
