Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Institute 2022 Innovative Thinking Training Camp First Event Successfully Held

From July 23 to 24, the first phase of the 2022 "High-end Equipment Practice Course" innovative thinking training camp of Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University (hereinafter referred to as "Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Research Institute") was successfully held in our institute. In order to promote the interdisciplinary and coordinated development, expand the breadth of students' thinking and stimulate students' innovative vitality, this activity invited Professor Zhao Chao and his team from the Department of Industrial Design of Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts, Professor Wang Jiansong and his team from the Department of Environmental Art Design, and Yang Shaofeng, vice president of Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Institute, to give 23 graduate students the first online teaching and closed training of innovative thinking training camp. Zhang Xiangjun, vice president of our college and head of the practice course, participated in this activity.
On the morning of the 23rd, Wang Jiansong took "Art and Design-Eternal" Interwoven "Parallel Lines" as the theme, respectively from "Form and Type-Shape and Modeling", "Abstract and Figurative", "Arts and Crafts and Contemporary Design", etc. Several angles systematically explained the "interweaving" influence of art and design, through the analysis of various world famous paintings and artists, combined with the teaching practice of guiding students' creation, it opens a new thinking path for engineering students and lays a solid foundation for the smooth development of this activity.

On the afternoon of the 23rd, Yang Shaofeng took innovation and entrepreneurship as the theme, combined with his own work experience, taught the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in the context of the new era, analyzed the basic abilities that college students should possess in innovation and entrepreneurship, and through a large number of case analysis and practical tool sharing, Inspire students to think deeply about the topic. Finally, Yang Shaofeng and Zhang Xiangjun, the course leader, interacted with the students and answered practical questions from subject research to entrepreneurial practice, and achieved good results.

On the 24th, Zhao Chao and Li Xuanbai gave a theoretical lecture on the theme of "Design Thinking and Experience Innovation-Building a Super-Scientific Paradigm of Collaborative Innovation in Art and Science. The two teachers explained to the students the advantages of the combination of design thinking and engineering, as well as the ideas and future development directions of building collaborative innovation in art and science, and shared many cases. After the course, Li Xuanbai divided the students into groups according to the subject and subject background to prepare for the simulation training of the second phase of innovative thinking training camp.

This innovative thinking training camp, combined with the characteristic courses developed by Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, is a useful practice for Tsinghua Tianjin equipment Institute to explore teaching reform and build a new system of professional postgraduate training courses. it has greatly enriched the academic atmosphere and cultural life of students trained by Tsinghua Tianjin equipment Institute, and effectively promoted the coordinated development of disciplines.
