Construction of Scientific Research Institutions
According to the Regulations on the Management of Scientific Research Institutions at Tianjin Research Institute for Advanced Equipment, Tsinghua University, the scientific research institutions are divided into three categories according to the different subjects approved by them. These include government-approved institutions, independently established institutions and joint construction institutions with independent legal entities outside the institute.
There are more than 40 scientific research institutions in operation.
1. Independently Established Institutions: Institutions established by the institute by introducing significant scientific research teams from universities.
(1) Research institutes or centers established according to the strategic field construction needs of the Institute;
(2) Research centers established to support the rapid development of strategic fields of the Institute.
2. Government-Approved Institutions: Engineering centers, laboratories, and technology service institutions established by government departments based on independently established institutions of the institute.
3. Jointly Established Institutions: Joint research centers or laboratories established by the institute in the form of agreements with independent legal entities outside the institute.
(1) Joint research centers established in collaboration with domestic and international enterprises or enterprises inside or outside the country (region), based on independently established institutions of the institute;
(2) Research laboratories established in collaboration with domestic and international small and medium-sized enterprises, based on independently established institutions of the institute.
