Baodun Conference for Qiongya Communist Party to Lead Armed Struggle
On March 6, water vapor was dense in Baodun Village, Yangjiang Town, Qionghai City after the rain.
This is an old village with the mark of the Qiongya Revolution. The Li ancestral temple in the village, as the former site of the emergency meeting of the Qiongya Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China in June 1927, witnessed an important turning point in the Qiongya party organization's independent leadership of the armed struggle.
The blue brick and gray tile is washed by rain and looks new. Today's Yangjiang Town is the fourth district of Lehui County (hereinafter referred to as Lehui Fourth District), which was famous in those days. In the early summer of 94 years ago, Yang Shanji, then the special commissioner of the Guangdong District Committee of the Communist Party of China, traveled day and night from Guangdong to Hong Kong, sneaking across the Qiongzhou Strait to Haikou, and all the way to the southeast to the fourth district of the Lehui.
A reporter from Hainan Daily followed the trail and showed a picture of the struggle of the Qiongya Revolution.
The meeting was held in front of the enemy's eyes
In 1926, Yang Shanji returned to his hometown of Hainan to guide the construction of the local party organization in Qiongya. However, the revolutionary situation was not smooth sailing. On April 22, 1927, a counter-revolutionary incident occurred in Qiongya. The Qiongya Kuomintang reactionaries raided and massacred Communist Party members and revolutionary masses in Haikou and the Fucheng area. Then the Kuomintang reactionaries in Wenchang, Qiongdong, Lehui and other counties also began to carry out the "Qing Party" movement.
Qiongya April storm sudden change, bloody wind, trade unions, peasant associations were banned and dissolved, Qiongya Communist Party suffered an unprecedented severe test. In this emergency, Yang Shanji arrived at the fourth district of the Lehui and joined Wang Wenming, then secretary of the prefectural party committee, as a special commissioner of the provincial party committee. An important turning point in the Qiongya Revolution began.
Baodun Village is a village surrounded by water on three sides and a mountain on one side. "Such a unique geographical location has formed a natural protective barrier, and it is really impossible to withdraw to the mountains." Pang Qijiang, head of the original cultural station in Yangjiang Town, said that although the neighboring villages of Baodun Village are guarded by the Kuomintang military and police, the geographical environment is easier to defend and harder to attack than other villages.
In June, under the eyes of the Kuomintang military and police, Yang Shanji and Wang Wenming, after a brief fundraising, held an emergency meeting of the prefectural committee at the Li ancestral temple in Baodun Village, the fourth district of the Lehui.
"Yang Shanji conveyed the important instructions of the provincial Party committee at the meeting, pointing out that the urgent task of Party organizations at all levels is to resume rural work and arm workers and peasants to resist the massacre policy of the Kuomintang authorities." Pang Qijiang said: the emergency meeting of the prefectural party committee, also known as the Baodun meeting, demanded that Chiang Kai-shek's crimes of defecting the revolution and slaughtering workers and peasants be widely exposed politically in accordance with the instructions of the provincial party committee and the actual situation in Qiongya; organizationally, the party's leading bodies at all levels should be quickly restored, the party's grass-roots organizations and various mass organizations should be actively developed in rural areas, and carry out various revolutionary activities. While collecting guns and ammunition, build up the peasants armed to fight against the enemy.
In view of Qiongya's important position and special geographical conditions, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China instructed the Qiongya Local Committee of the Communist Party of China to change it to the Qiongya Special Committee of the Communist Party of China. In accordance with this instruction, the meeting elected the leading body of the special committee, and established the Qiongya Military Committee and the Qiongya Counter-rebellious Committee. Yang Shanji was appointed Secretary of the Special Committee and Chairman of the Military Commission, and Wang Wenming was appointed Chairman of the Committee for the Ease of Counterrevolutionaries.
This was a meeting to accelerate the pace of the armed struggle under the independent leadership of the Qiongya Communist Party. It pointed out the way forward for the Qiongya revolution in time and inspired the fighting spirit of the Qiongya people.
I have a clear goal in my hesitation.
The once hesitant revolutionary comrades gathered again to fight for a clear goal.
"The special committee has more autonomy than the prefectural committee." Chen Jinai, former director of the Qionghai City Party History Research Office, said that under the special conditions at the time, major issues that were too late to ask for instructions and report to the Guangdong District Committee could be independently decided by the prefectural committee on the spot, thus seizing the opportunity for the development of the revolution.
After the emergency meeting in June, the leading members of the special committee divided their work: Yang Shanji and Chen Chuibin stayed in the special committee, Wang Wenming went to the seventh district of Dingan County to guide the work of Lehui, Wanning, Dingan and other places, Xu Xiafu and Luo Wenyan went to Wenchang and Qiongshan, and Feng Ping went to Chengmai, Lingao and Danxian counties of West Road to guide the work.
At that time, the fourth district of the music society was the central area of the Qiongya revolution and the residence of the Qiongya Special Committee of the Communist Party of China. In order to counter-revolutionary arrogance of the reactionary forces in the fourth district of the Percussion Society and its surrounding areas, Yang Shanji led the revolutionary armed forces to attack the Kuomintang reactionaries many times, seized dozens of guns, and further expanded the revolutionary armed forces in the struggle.
In July, in order to meet the needs of the development of the situation, the Special Committee decided to reorganize the revolutionary armed forces of all counties into the Qiongya rebellious Revolutionary Army, and set up the headquarters of the Qiongya rebellious Revolutionary Army, with Feng Ping as the commander-in-chief, Chen Yongqin as the deputy commander-in-chief, and Yang Shanji as the party representative. Each county is a road army, a total of 11 road army, with a total of more than 700.
The Lingshui rebellious Revolutionary Army took Po Village as its stronghold, liberated Lingcheng and established the Lingshui County People's Government in one fell swoop. Although it only lasted for 7 days, the establishment of the people's power was the first time for the people of Qiongya to seize power under the leadership of the Communist Party. try.
"The establishment of the Qiongya rebellious revolutionary army and the development of armed struggle marked the beginning of a new era of independent leadership of the revolutionary armed struggle by the Qiongya CCP organization." Chen Jinai said that the young Chinese Communists learned the lesson of blood. Under the white terror, they joined the torrent of the red revolution with a more resolute attitude and began a more cruel battle of blood and fire.
The old revolutionary village does not forget history.
After wind and rain, Li's ancestral temple still stands and becomes the "witness" of Qiongya revolutionary history, and history also exists in the memory of the people.
"It was the Party that turned the peasants over and became masters." Li Dayan, a villager in Baodun Village, is 96 years old this year. When the Qiongya Prefectural Committee meeting was held, he was only 3 years old. Although he did not participate in the revolution, he has listened to the history of the Qiongya Revolution since he was a child.
At that time, Li's ancestral temple was the place where the village students studied. At the low tide of the revolution, the Kuomintang reactionaries in Qionghai wantonly killed people, burned houses, plundered property, and engaged in white terror. Many villagers in the village were killed by the Kuomintang, and people hated the Kuomintang reactionaries.
"Although I did not participate in the revolution, but my brother did." Li Dayan said that his brother Li Daqin had passed away two years ago, and he was only 11 years old before the emergency meeting of the Qiongya Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China. At that time, the Kuomintang blocked the traffic line, and there was a Kuomintang gun tower in Shangpo Village, three or four kilometers away from Baodun Village. Li Daqin was familiar with the terrain and was not easy to attract attention as a child, so he worked as a traffic officer for the Communist Party.
When the emergency meeting of the Qiongya Prefectural Committee of the Communist Party of China was held, Yang Shanji, Wang Wenming, Feng Ping, Chen Yongqin and other revolutionary martyrs came to Baodun Village and were warmly welcomed by the people in the village. The common people sent water and food to the Communist Party members who came to the meeting, looking forward to the victory of the Qiongya Revolution and longing for the arrival of a beautiful new world.
After the arduous struggle, the Qiongya Revolution ushered in an important turning point. The villagers of Baodun Village also stick to the moment when the new world comes.
Today's Baodun Village, betel nut line, rubber forest, pepper growing well. Yangjiang Town, where Baodun Village is located, is an old revolutionary base, and a series of policies to benefit farmers have continuously increased the income of the villagers here. As a red culture town, Yangjiang town also attracts many tourists to visit every year.
