Luo Yinqing and the Revolutionary History Song "August Osmanthus Blossoms Everywhere"
"August osmanthus blossoms everywhere, bright red flags are erected, lanterns are colored again, lanterns are colored again, and new world is shining brightly ......" This song "August osmanthus blossoms everywhere" is a revolutionary historical song born in the Dabie Mountains in the 1920 s and 1930 s, originally created to celebrate the founding of the Soviet Union. Because of its beautiful tune and vivid lyrics, the song soon spread in the revolutionary base areas of southeast Henan. Later, along with the footsteps of the Red Army spread across the country. It is based on the Dabie Mountain folk song "Baduanjin" as a tune, according to the song lyrics, the lyricist is Luo Yinqing.
Luo Yinqing (1894-1952) was born in Daxichong, Shayan, Banzhuyuan Town, southern Jinzhai County, Anhui Province (formerly Shangcheng County, Henan Province). Luo Yinqing was smart and studious since he was a child, and was loved by teachers. Later, he studied private school with his uncle Luo Shiyuan for more than ten years. In 1926, he went to Wuhan to work with Li Tiyun, a Communist Party member engaged in the labor movement, to encourage the workers to strike. In the spring of 1927, he entered the Wuchang Central Peasant Movement Workshop to study, and joined the Communist Party of China in the same year. After graduation in the summer and autumn, he returned to his hometown to participate in the agricultural movement work, and set up an improved private school in the Hongjue 'an Temple in Shayan, using teaching as a cover to carry out revolutionary work. In the winter of 1928, the party organization arranged for him to run a school in Xiaohe Wang Temple. While teaching, he recruited party members inside and outside the school to strengthen the local party team. In May 1929, after the victory of the Lixia Festival Uprising, in order to prosper education in the Soviet area, the party organization appointed him as the principal of the Fotangao Model Primary School in the Fruit Garden. He is good at writing poems and songs, and he is a great talent in the eyes of the local people.
In the eighth month of the lunar calendar in 1929, the district and township Soviet regimes in the western part of Jinzhai were established one after another, and the people were jubilant, decorated with lanterns, and warmly celebrated the birth of their own government. In order to better publicize, educate and guide the masses, express the joy of the hard-working masses when they were liberated and celebrate the founding of the Soviet Union, Li Tiyun, then member of the leading group of the Shangcheng County Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Red 32nd Division, Qi Yuyuan, director of the Political Department of the Red 32nd Division, and Qi Xiandi, member of the County Party Committee, decided to create a song singing the Soviet and the Red Army at the founding meeting. later, the task of creating songs was given to xu gan, secretary of the shaogong county party committee. Xu Gan discussed with Qi Xiandi, Minister of Organization of the Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Qi Xianping, Minister of Propaganda, and asked Luo Yinqing, principal of Fotangao Model Primary School and a Communist Party member, to write it.
When Luo Yinqing received the task, he had just attended the celebration meeting for the establishment of the township Soviet. At that time, it was the golden autumn season, osmanthus flowers were in full bloom everywhere, fragrant and refreshing. The happy scenes of the people at the founding meeting of the township Soviet were still in their minds. Luo Yinqing touched the scene with emotion, surging heart, thinking with talent, humming the tune of the local folk song "Baduanjin", filled in the lyrics called "August osmanthus flowers bloom everywhere" and sent them to Li Tiyun for review immediately after writing. After the final version was finalized, Chen Juemin, a female teacher in a model primary school, was responsible for teaching singing and choreography, and taught 16 students to perform in the form of flower sticks.
At the founding meeting of the first district Soviet held in Changlinggang, Banzhuyuan, the song and dance performance of "osmanthus blossoms everywhere in August" was very successful and won warm applause from the audience. Li Tiyun praised the model primary school on the spot and took teaching to sing the song as part of the conference. Luo Yinqing distributed the mimeographed song list to the participants and taught them on the spot. After the meeting, the Shao Communist Party Committee sent the song list to all league branches and township soviets for everyone to learn to sing together. Since then, this revolutionary song has been circulating in the revolutionary base areas of southeastern Henan.
In February 1931, with the needs of the consolidation of the base area and the development of the revolution, Luo Yinqing was transferred to Tangjiahui Town, the seat of the Soviet Union in Chinan County and the resident of the Southeast Road Committee of the Communist Party of China. Together with Comrade He Fuzhou, Luo Yinqing jointly organized the Red Daily and the Shiyin Pavilion in Chinan County. Luo Yinqing successively served as the editor director of the newspaper and the transcribing director of the Shiyin Pavilion. During this period, Luo Yinqing's reputation gradually grew and he became a famous literati in the revolutionary base areas of Hubei, Henan and Anhui.
In September 1932, the Hubei, Henan and Anhui base areas failed in the fourth anti "encirclement and suppression" campaign, and the Kuomintang Chen succession and other departments launched an attack on Tang Jiahui. At that time, Luo Yinqing, who was seriously injured, was being treated at Tangjiahui Hospital. As the fighting became more intense and the number of wounded increased, the hospital was unable to help the wounded to transfer. Luo Yinqing told himself in his heart: I would rather die in the barren mountains and valleys than fall into the enemy's hands. So, in a dark night, he endured the pain, dragThe sick body left the hospital and hid in the mountains in a hidden cave. Later, fortunately, I met an old man named Cai to help me, and I was spared death.
The enemy knew Luo Yinqing's prestige in the party and posted notices everywhere offering a reward of 500 dollars for his capture. Not long after, Luo Yinqing was arrested because Luo Zongsheng, the pseudo-security chief, reported to the enemy. In prison, the enemy tortured Luo Yinqing, asking him to hand over the list of members of the party's underground organization and to write a "confession". But let the enemy to use all kinds of tricks, Luo Yinqing always prefer to die, righteously awe-inspiring, wrote a magnificent "dare to die", to express their own people and aspirations: "needle evil to guard against evil, pen ruthless, today dare to be a sharp ghost:" Luo Yinqing, a Communist, must be killed!"
The local people and progressives heard that the enemy was going to kill Luo Yinqing and tried to rescue him one after another. After that, the township chief came forward to protect Luo Yinqing. After Luo Yinqing was released from prison, some "kind-hearted people" came to persuade him: "The Red Army has already left. You are now alone. It is best to speak slowly and write less......"
After hearing this, Luo Yinqing replied with a smile: "I would rather fill in the gully than insult Sven!"
Because of being tortured by the enemy in prison, Luo Yinqing was weak and made a living by teaching private schools. But he never bowed to the suffering, never put down the pen in his hand. His revolutionary will has never subsided, and the fire of revolution has always been burning in his heart. In various historical periods, he wrote a large number of poems praising the party, the people, and the revolution, in order to fight against the reactionary forces and express his desire for light. In addition to "August Osmanthus Blossoms Blossoming Everywhere", Luo Yinqing also wrote dozens of lyrics such as "Mutiny Song", "Poor Man Tune", "Little Cow", and "Women's Song", most of which are accompanied by folk tunes and are widely circulated in the local area.
In 1952, Luo Yinqing was seriously ill. Qi Yuanwo, then political commissar of the North China Air Force, returned to his hometown from Beijing to visit relatives. He learned that his teacher Luo Yinqing was seriously ill and wanted to visit him. However, there was only one day left in the holiday, the distance was long and the transportation was inconvenient. He had to write a letter to express his condolences: "Mr. Yin Qing: Mr. should be healthy and everyone in the family should pay tribute! I recently came from Beijing and came back to my hometown. Because of the short time, I couldn't come to visit Mr. Wang. I am deeply sorry. I would like to send a letter to say hello..." After the letter was written, Qi Yuan Wott asked his family to walk to Luo Yinqing's home and brought 30 yuan with him. Luo Yinqing saw the letter written to him by the former student, who is now a senior general of the People's Liberation Army, with tears in his eyes, and was very excited. He wrote on his sickbed:
The old man is sad and weak, but he always wanders in anger.
In the sludge to prevent self-staining, belly hidden Yousi hope cloud open.
Mountains and rivers changed their appearance and sang thousands of songs, and letters filled their cheeks with laughter.
The talented party Tao Zhu, peach and plum spring breeze is also fast.
Soon after, the illness took Luo Yinqing's life. Although he failed to see the glorious prospect of socialism of "the transformation of mountains and rivers", his loyalty to the party and his unswerving commitment to the revolutionary cause, together with his "August Osmanthus Blossoms Everywhere" inspired generations of revolutionaries to work tirelessly for the great cause of communism.
