The high-end hospital team received a delegation from Southwest Science and Technology Company in Tsinghua University.

On may 21, 2018, Zhang Xiangjun, vice president of Tsinghua university Tianjin high-end equipment research institute (hereinafter referred to as "high-end research institute"), and sheng xuan Yu, director of advanced energy equipment technology research institute (hereinafter referred to as "advanced energy research institute"), received Steven J.Todd, president of southwest science and technology company, and Jesse Delgado, head of the company's business development department, and his party.

At the exchange meeting, Zhang Xiangjun welcomed all the guests and briefly introduced the basic situation of the high-end hospital. Subsequently, Lu Yongzhe, the investment and financing department of the high-end hospital, gave a detailed introduction to the visiting guests on the construction process, development status, operation mode and other aspects of the hospital. During this period, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the technologies of interest. The members of the delegation showed strong interest in the scientific research achievements of our institute and fully affirmed the technical strength of the high-end institute in intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment. The two sides believe that ultrasonic nondestructive testing technology can be combined with the existing detection system of high-end institutes to form a more comprehensive intelligent monitoring capability. Sheng Xuan Yu introduced the research direction and results of the Advanced Energy Institute in detail to the visiting guests, and showed the pictures and results related to the 10MW high-temperature gas-cooled reactor project.

Subsequently, Mr. Steven J.Todd introduced the company's basic situation and its technical advantages and engineering experience in the fields of ultrasonic flaw detection, structural evaluation, life extension of nuclear power plants, liquid nitrogen jet cutting, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. In particular, underwater automatic flaw detection equipment is used for non-destructive flaw detection of high-radioactive underwater welds in in-service nuclear power plants, and liquid nitrogen jet cutting technology is used to remove radioactivity on the surface of facilities, which has outstanding advantages and huge application scenarios. These technologies have not yet been mastered in China, and the domestic demand for nuclear power plants is urgent, and there is a broad market space.

The two sides agreed that Southwest Science and Technology Company has industry-leading technology and position in the United States, while the high-end institute has strong technical strength and extensive recognition in China, and the two sides can complement each other. to provide services to the nuclear power market such as non-destructive testing of high-radioactive underwater environment and treatment of radioactive facilities in domestic nuclear power plants. Based on this cooperation intention, the two parties conducted in-depth exchanges on possible cooperation models, specific development forms of cooperation, and general process arrangements, and agreed to reach preliminary opinions.
