On the afternoon of April 13, Yang Tao, vice president of Baidu and head of artificial intelligence commercialization, and Chen Guowei, director of Baidu Smart City Division, visited and inspected the Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University (referred to as "High-end Institute"). Zhou Shengxi, chief economist of the Municipal Industry and Information Commission, Hu Wei, deputy director of the Planning Department, Yang Hao, deputy head of Dongli District, and relevant responsible comrades of the District Government Office, the Industry and Information Commission, the Cooperation and Exchange Office, and the Huaming High-tech Zone were accompanied. During the visit to the results exhibition hall, Fan Jing introduced in detail the construction process of the high-end institute as a professional expatriate institute of Tsinghua University, including the establishment time, mission objectives, institutional mechanisms, and technology and industry-finance service models. 33 research institutes have been established in more than three years, and the research fields have achieved full coverage of the ten key research fields of China's manufacturing 2025. In terms of technology docking and financial escort, Li Zhenbang took nuclear energy research as an example to explain the advantages of Tsinghua University in nuclear research and the process of the team's industrialization in high-end institutes.
Later, the Baidu delegation learned one by one about the achievements and progress of our hospital in robot equipment manufacturing, industrial 4.0 think tank resources, additive manufacturing and laser printing, friction reduction and consumption reduction technology, rail transportation and other fields. Yang Tao said that the technical resources on the high-end hospital platform are comprehensive and high-end, and the advantages in robot manufacturing and industrial automation can be combined with Baidu's artificial intelligence, with unlimited cooperation possibilities in the future.
At the end of the inspection, Yang Hao, deputy head of Dongli District and vice-president of the high-end hospital, introduced the future plan of Dongli, the high-end hospital. The future Tsinghua Bay Headquarters Park will lead the landing and transformation of Tsinghua technology in Tianjin with more perfect functional division, more comprehensive scientific research facilities and more diversified industrial docking.
