China News Network | 2023 Asia Pacific Robot World Cup Tianjin International Invitational Opening UAV Competition New Highlight


China News Service, Tianjin, May 20 (Pang Yuwen and Zhang Shaoxuan) The 2023 Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup Tianjin International Invitational Tournament opened on the 20th at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin). The reporter was informed that the first drone event has become a new highlight of this competition. The event includes the Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup Autonomous UAV Challenge from Iran, as well as the individual flight competition and the bee swarm dance programming competition.

Participants and experts from ten countries and regions including Portugal, Egypt, Iran, Australia, Japan, Singapore, India, Thailand, Mainland China, and Hong Kong, China gathered in Jinmen, and a strong lineup of more than 200 teams and nearly 800 people competed in the same room.

The competition covers contestants from primary and secondary schools at home and abroad, as well as students from Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Tongji University, University of New South Wales in Australia, Kyushu University of Technology in Japan and many other well-known universities at home and abroad gathered in Tianjin.

It is understood that there are six major events in this competition. The events include the RoboCup Soccer Group Competition, the RoboCup Soccer Standard Platform Group Competition, the RoboCup Soccer Medium Group Competition, the RCAP CoSpace Competition, the UAV Competition and the specially invited RoboCup Junior Youth Robot World Cup China Trial. In addition to the previous intelligent driving and intelligent search and rescue sub-events, the RCAP CoSpace also added an intelligent distribution challenge.

It is worth mentioning that the RCAP CoSpace permanent competition has introduced the intelligent distribution challenge of the university group this year, which has become another highlight of this robot competition. The RCAP CoSpace Intelligent Distribution Challenge builds a set of future vehicle-road collaboration "intelligent distribution" theme challenges in the virtual world through the simulation of the intelligent transportation system of the science and technology park. From the distribution center to each network node, from regular distribution to real-time distribution, participants need to carry out real-time data integration, unified scheduling and dynamic planning in the challenge, and design their own "intelligent distribution" scheme for science and technology parks. Many university teams from Singapore, Egypt and China will participate in the RCAP CoSpace Intelligent Distribution Challenge. Among them, Tianjin University of Technology, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and Tianjin University of Technology are local university teams from Tianjin.

It is reported that this competition is hosted by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, the Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup International Council, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University; Tianjin Jinnan District People's Government, Tianjin Haihe Education Park Management Committee, Tsinghua University Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute, Tianjin Co-organized by the Robot Industry Association.
