From August 19th to August 21st, the National Outstanding Middle School Student Robot and Intelligent Manufacturing Experience Camp was held as scheduled at the Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Institute. More than 60 students from 19 provinces, cities and regions including Liaoning, Shanghai, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Hunan, and Hong Kong High school students with excellent academic performance and comprehensive quality conducted a 3-day full and exciting experience activity. The first day of the visit and practice activities were arranged intensively. In the experience camp, Tianjin Machine Tool Museum and two well-known scientific and technological enterprises were selected for visit. In the Machine Tool Museum, the students saw in person machine tools produced all over the world with different ages and different functions. There were more than 100 processing machines and more than 500 civil machines made in more than a dozen countries such as Switzerland, Germany and the United States. Students here to understand the history of the development of Tianjin's manufacturing industry, feel the changes of the times. Tianjin Xinsong Robot Automation Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Xinsong") and Airbus (Tianjin) General Assembly Company (referred to as "Airbus (Tianjin)") are two technology-based manufacturing enterprises. As the head goose of China's robot industry, Xinsong has a complete robot product line and overall industrial 4.0 solutions. It has created more than 100 industry firsts and its products are exported to more than 40 countries. Airbus (Tianjin) is the aircraft final assembly line established by Airbus in cooperation with China. It is the first Airbus aircraft final assembly line in China. Aircraft parts are shipped from all over the world to Tianjin for final assembly and testing. Student Team Grouping Project Experience

 

The core of the experience camp activities is the students' robot intelligence experience project. Within the specified time, group discussion, planning and division of labor to complete the tasks assigned by the teacher. Under the guidance of the teacher, the students are open-minded, active in innovation, and collaborative. Some have strong hands-on ability, some are good at solving problems, and some are responsible for the production of team posters and videos. Each has its own division of labor and shows its magic power. Under the guidance of the teachers of the project team, 16 groups of students successfully completed their tasks. The "Fully Automatic Rocket Transportation Assembly Line", "Intelligent Logistics Distribution System for Elderly Communities", "Smart Livestock Farm" and "Mechanical Transportation System on Lunar Drop Roadway" made wonderful appearances one by one.

 

Award Ceremony for Outstanding Campers

 

The outstanding performance of the students was highly praised by the observer teachers. They had outstanding professional ability, high comprehensive quality and strong cooperation ability. Finally, with the unanimous recommend of the observer teachers, eight students were awarded the title of excellent campers. Hu Chuxiong, deputy director of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University, and Liu Li, director of the Experimental Center of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University, issued certificates to outstanding campers. At the closing ceremony, the students said that the experience camp was rich and colorful and benefited a lot.
