2023 Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup Tianjin International Invitational Grand Opening

On the morning of May 20th, the 2023 Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup Tianjin International Invitational Tournament (referred to as the "2023 Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup Tianjin Tournament") was grandly opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin). The Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup Tianjin International Invitational Tournament has been successfully held for three times. The 2023 Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup Tianjin Tournament is hosted by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, the Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup International Council, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University; Tianjin Jinnan District People's Government, Tianjin Haihe Education Park Management Committee, Tsinghua University Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute, Tianjin Robot Industry Association co-hosted.

Yang Shaofeng, vice president of Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Institute, delivered a speech. He said that Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Institute, as the main organizer of the 2023 Asia-Pacific Robot World Cup Tianjin Competition, has successfully held three sessions in 2019, 2021 and 2022. This competition has added new UAV events and RCAP CoSpace Intelligent Distribution Challenge, as well as "Robot and Intelligent Manufacturing Development Forum". We believe that more and more international, hierarchical and diversified competition contents can deepen school enterprise cooperation, strengthen scientific and technological exchanges, accelerate the transformation of achievements, and build a new pattern and new direction of "production, learning, research, creation and use" of robot industry.

Participants from ten countries and regions including Portugal, Egypt, Iran, Australia, Japan, Singapore, India, Thailand, China and Hong Kong, China reported as scheduled. The contestants not only cover primary and secondary schools at home and abroad, but also students from Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, University of New South Wales in Australia, Alexander University in Egypt, Singapore Institute of Technology, Kyushu University of Technology in Japan, Islamic Azad University in Iran and many other well-known universities at home and abroad gathered in Jinmen. Today and tomorrow, the participating teams will compete fiercely, presenting a gluttonous feast of robot duels.

This competition includes six major events. The first drone event and the RCAP CoSpace University Group's Intelligent Distribution Challenge have become new highlights of this competition. Many university teams from Singapore, Egypt and China will participate in the RCAP CoSpace Intelligent Distribution Challenge. Among them, Tianjin University of Technology, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and Tianjin University of Technology are local university teams from Tianjin.

As a national new generation of artificial intelligence innovation and development pilot area, Tianjin is committed to building a pioneer city of artificial intelligence application innovation.
