The Central Military Commission officially designated the March of the Chinese People's Liberation Army as the military song of the Chinese People's Liberation Army
On July 25, 1988, with the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Central Military Commission decided to designate the March of the Chinese People's Liberation Army as the military song of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In the autumn of 1939, the famous poet Gongmu and Zheng Lucheng, an international friend from North Korea, collaborated in Yan'an to create the "Eighth Route Army Cantata" suite of songs. The "Eighth Route Army March" composed by Gongmu and composed by Zheng Lucheng was one of the eight songs in the suite. After 1940, the "Eighth Route Army March" was sung among the soldiers and civilians in the anti-Japanese base areas. During the National War of Liberation, the Eighth Route Army March was renamed the People's Liberation Army March, and the lyrics were slightly changed. In February 1951, the People's Liberation Army March was renamed the People's Liberation Army Song. In May 1953, the People's Revolutionary Military Commission of the Central People's Government re-promulgated the "Chinese People's Liberation Army Internal Affairs Regulations (Draft)" and changed it to "People's Liberation Army March." In 1965, it was renamed the Chinese People's Liberation Army March. In July 1988, the Central Military Commission officially designated the "March of the Chinese People's Liberation Army" as the military song of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
