Why is it said that the Seventh Congress is "the Congress of unity and the Congress of victory"

On April 23, 1945, the Seventh National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Yan'an. This is an extremely important National Congress of the Communist Party of China on the eve of the final victory of the world anti fascist war, in order to systematically sum up the basic experience of the Chinese revolution, thoroughly defeat the Japanese aggressors and build a new China. Mao Zedong pointed out at the closing ceremony of the conference: "This conference is a model of unity, a model of self-criticism, and a model of inner-party democracy." The Seventh National Congress went down in the history of the Party as a "congress of unity, a congress of victory.
a model of inner-party unity
Unity is the guarantee of victory. The unity of the Party is an important guarantee for the success of the Party's cause. After the founding of the Communist Party of China, it experienced the test of countless practical struggles, overcame various wrong tendencies within the party, and finally established Mao Zedong's leading position in the Party Central Committee and the Red Army at the Zunyi Conference in 1935. From May 1944 to April 1945, the Seventh Plenary Session of the enlarged Sixth Central Committee of the Party passed the "Resolution on Certain Historical Issues" in principle, which made the whole party reach a consensus on the basic issues of the Chinese revolution. This resolution puts forward the future task of the whole party, which is to "on the basis of the unity of Marxism-Leninism, unite the comrades of the whole party like a harmonious family, like a solid piece of steel, in order to win the complete victory of the War of Resistance against Japan and the Chinese people." Struggle for the complete liberation of China "created sufficient ideological conditions for the victory of the Seventh National Congress.
At the Seventh National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Mao Zedong emphasized the strong unity of the whole Party and the people of the whole country, and especially put forward the principle of alignment. He pointed out: You know, a team is often not very neat, so you must always shout to be aligned, to the left, to the right, to the middle. We need to align ourselves with the central benchmarks and with the General Assembly benchmarks. Abishity is the principle, deviation is the real life, there is deviation, just shout alignment. Why should we align? In the final analysis, it is for the unity of the whole party. As Mao Zedong emphasized: "In the party and in the revolutionary ranks, we have a policy, which is unity, unity on the basis of principles."
In their statements to the General Assembly, many representatives spoke of the importance of solidarity. Lu Dingyi pointed out in his speech that after the failure of the Great Revolution, the life within the party was very unstable, and the storms were dangerous, even to the point where the party almost split. But finally found a Chinese, Marxist-Leninist, and complete set of strategic strategies, and found its representative Comrade Mao Zedong. Our party is truly under the leadership of Chairman Mao and has unparalleled unity. Let us not forget the lesson. We must unite under the banner of Mao Zedong Thought and unite more firmly and better. According to Fu Zhong, what stands in the way of unity within the Party is the blind mountain-headed tendency. To solve this problem, we must be selfless and correctly handle the relationship between the individual and the party. Relying on the Party and the people is as stable as Mount Tai and everything is easy to handle. If we do a good job of unity, the world will be at peace, and everyone will be like a harmonious family.
The Model of Self-Criticism
Self-criticism is the fine tradition of the Chinese Communist Party. The fundamental purpose of a communist is to serve the people wholeheartedly. As a communist, in the face of the interests of the party and the people, there is no personal interest that cannot be abandoned. Strictly demanding oneself in accordance with the standards of the Communists, checking one's shortcomings and shortcomings, and conducting self-criticism are also the needs of maintaining the unity of the revolutionary team. At the Seventh Congress, many deputies, including some leading comrades in high positions, had the courage to dissect themselves and make self-criticism in their speeches, reflecting the high moral integrity and open and aboveboard ideological realm of the Communists.
Some comrades who have made mistakes in the history of the party are strict in dissecting themselves at the meeting, selflessly and fearlessly, and deeply reflect on themselves, leaving a deep impression on everyone. For example, after Zhang Wentian checked himself into the party, although subjectively he was once determined to be a good proletarian fighter, he was not completely transformed in the flames of revolutionary struggle, so he went to Moscow to study. After studying Marxist book knowledge, I did not regard Marxism as a guide to action, but instead regarded it as a dogma. After joining the Provisional Central Committee, it mistakenly hit the leading comrades in the party who understood the actual situation in China and had rich experience in the Chinese revolution. This is really very wrong. "We should make amends to all comrades who were wrongly hit by us at that time". These comrades frankly criticized themselves, established a good atmosphere for the conference, and made the delegates very moved and educated.
The presence or absence of serious self-criticism is one of the distinctive signs that distinguish the Communist Party of China from other political parties. Regularly review the work, promote the democratic style of work in the review, do not fear criticism and self-criticism, and implement "know everything, say everything", "the words are innocent, the words are not guilty, the words are warning", "if there is something, change it, and if there is nothing, add encouragement." It is the only effective way to resist all kinds of political dust and political microorganisms from eroding our comrades' thoughts and the body of our party. The Seven have set an example in this regard.
the model of inner-party democracy
The democratic spirit of the Seventh Congress is reflected in the whole process from preparation to convening. From the preparation of the conference to the drafting of conference documents, from the convening of the conference to the final election of the conference, all aspects and links of the conference have run through the spirit of democracy and carried forward inner-party democracy.
In the preparatory process of the conference, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, local party organizations and the majority of party members followed and carried forward the spirit of democracy. In October 1938, Mao Zedong proposed: "On the basis of striving to develop and consolidate the party, elections should be conducted in a timely manner in accordance with democratic methods, so that the best cadres and party members trusted by the masses of party members have the opportunity to be elected as representatives of the Congress". The resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to convene the Seventh National Congress on November 6 also stipulated that the output of representatives, except for some areas where democratic elections cannot be held due to environmental factors, must be used as far as possible to elect representatives by democratic methods. Therefore, all localities try to adopt democratic methods when electing deputies to the Seventh National Congress, such as convening party congresses, democratic recommend and electing deputies to the Seventh National Congress.
In the process of preparing the seven major documents, both the political and military reports of the General Assembly have promoted democracy and have undergone repeated discussions and revisions. The political report drafted by Mao Zedong was widely consulted and was revised at least eight times before it was finalized. The same is true of the military report drafted by Zhu De. Through discussions and extensive listening to the opinions of all parties, it has played an important role in enriching and improving the content of the report.
During the conference, Mao Zedong's political report and Zhu De's military report were discussed in groups, and speeches were arranged. Delegates who are requested to speak at the conference shall first register with the presidium, set the order and speak at the stipulated time. The 26 delegates who spoke at the conference spoke freely based on the report of the conference and the actual work of various regions, various aspects, and their respective work. The content of the speech included the international and domestic situation, the work of the anti-Japanese base areas such as Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia, Shanxi-Cr-Hebei, Shandong, and South China, military work, the work of the Eighth Route Army, the New Fourth Army and other anti-Japanese armed forces, the work of cities in enemy-occupied areas, the work of the northeast, the work of ethnic minorities, and confidential work. Work, anti-rape work, the party united front, unity issues and rectification issues, as well as self-self-criticism at the meeting.
The election of the Seventh National Congress fully respected and reflected the will and aspirations of the electors. The list of candidates for the election of the new Central Committee went up and down several times. The representatives of the delegations fully discussed and expressed different opinions. In the end, secret ballot and differential election were implemented. The purpose of the election was achieved, that is, to ensure the implementation of the line of the conference. Comrades are elected to the Central Committee, including some comrades who have made mistakes but have admitted their mistakes and are determined to correct them. In response to Wang Jiaxiang's defeat in the election of a member of the Central Committee, Mao Zedong was reasonable at the conference and worked patiently and meticulously to make the election work proceed smoothly.
