Xi Jinping wrote back to encourage the vast number of aerospace youth to carry forward the spirit of "two bombs and one satellite" and the spirit of manned spaceflight to achieve a high level of self-reliance and self-improvement in aerospace science and technology.


On the occasion of the May Fourth Youth Day, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, wrote back to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation's space station construction youth team on May 2, extending holiday congratulations to all young people on the space front. Put forward ardent expectations.
 


Xi Jinping said in his reply that after reading the letter, I remembered the exchange of young researchers with you nine years ago. In the past nine years, from Tiangong, Beidou, Chang'e to Tianhe, Tianwen, and Xihe, China Aerospace has continuously created new history. A large number of aerospace youths have taken the lead and assumed heavy responsibilities, demonstrating the enterprising spirit of Chinese youth in the new era.
Xi Jinping stressed that the construction of a space power depends on the continuous struggle of generations. It is hoped that the vast number of aerospace youth will carry forward the spirit of "two bombs and one satellite" and the spirit of manned spaceflight, have the courage to innovate and make breakthroughs, and send out the dazzling brilliance of youth on the journey of pursuing dreams in space, so as to make new contributions to China's space science and technology to achieve a high level of self-reliance and self-improvement.
On May 4, 2013, Xi Jinping went to the China Academy of Space Technology of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation to participate in the "Realizing the Chinese Dream, Youth and Brave Responsibility" theme group day activities, and had discussions with outstanding youth representatives from all walks of life. On the occasion of the 100 anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China, the youth team of the space station construction of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Group wrote to General Secretary Xi Jinping, reporting on behalf of the group's 80000 youth on the situation of bravely shouldering heavy burdens to promote the development of aerospace science and technology in the past nine years, and expressed the firm determination to work together to build a space power.
