A rice jar reflects strict discipline (micro)

At the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Museum in Jiangxi, a brown-yellow pottery rice jar stands quietly. The rice jar with drum belly, curved neck, round mouth and vertical stripes has been old and mottled after more than 90 years of baptism, and there is still a long and narrow crack on the surface. Although this farmhouse rice jar seems ordinary, it is a powerful testimony that the people's army under the leadership of the Communist Party of China abides by mass discipline and safeguards the interests of the masses.
The more difficult the choice and persistence under difficult conditions, the more we can see the purpose and nature of a team. in late September 1927, the autumn harvest uprising troops were stationed in ganjia village, lianhua county, jiangxi, on their way to march into jinggangshan. At this time, the troops in a hurry had run out of food, and the soldiers were tired, hungry and exhausted. In order to meet the urgent need, the kitchen shift chief made rice from the half jar he found into rice without seeing the villagers. When Comrade Mao Zedong learned of this, he criticized the cooking squad leader, solemnly affirmed revolutionary discipline, and ordered the troops to pay compensation according to the price. So when the team left, they left a letter of apology and rolled up a bed of cotton wool and put it in a rice jar to pay for the rice. This rice jar later became the family heirloom of the villagers, and the touching story that the soldiers always put the interests of the people at heart even in extremely difficult circumstances has been passed down from word of mouth to this day.
The mass discipline reflected by a rice jar evolved into "three disciplines" and "six points of attention" during the revolutionary struggle in Jinggangshan, and gradually developed and perfected into "three major disciplines and eight points of attention". Strict discipline has also become a glorious tradition and unique advantage of the party and the people's army. If you don't take a needle or a sweet potato from the masses, or damage a door panel of the masses, there will be no crime wherever you go, which reflects the essential difference between the people's army and the old army. "The Red Army has strict discipline, obeys orders, cares for the people, and is popular everywhere." A ballad circulated in the Jinggangshan base area sings the aspirations of the masses. It is precisely because of strict discipline that our party can develop and grow in extreme difficulties, and encourage more and more poor peasants to join the Red Army without hesitation, so that the revolutionary forces continue to grow.
No matter in Jinggangshan, Jiangxi Province or Zhaojin, Shaanxi Province, no matter what stage the revolution develops, strict discipline and rules are always the red gene flowing in the blood of our party and army. After the liberation of Hangzhou in May 1949, the PLA stationed in the urban area did not buy vegetables for the time being because the currency value had not yet been determined, preferring to use salt water for food. Good style, no wonder the citizens praised at that time, "you are too good, who does not support it". Iron discipline has achieved the relationship between the party and the masses, the relationship between the cadres and the masses, and the relationship between the army and the people, which is thicker than water, and has created the invincible cohesion and combat effectiveness of the party and the people's army.
Our Party is a Marxist party organized by revolutionary ideals and iron discipline. Over the past hundred years, generations of Chinese Communists have strictly observed discipline and adhered to the bottom line in the face of various temptations and difficulties, which is inseparable from the support of ideals and beliefs. Before Xia Minghan's death, he left a touching poem: "It doesn't matter to behead, as long as the doctrine is true"; Chen Shuxiang was heartbroken and worthy of his oath to "shed the last drop of blood for the Soviets"; Jiao Yulu until the last moment of his life "all the people in his heart, but not himself" ...... Faith in Marxism, faith in socialism and communism, is the political soul of the Communist Party and the spiritual pillar that has withstood various tests, it also constitutes the source of the Communist Party's iron-like discipline and iron-like responsibility. On the new journey, drawing wisdom from revolutionary cultural relics and party history stories, comprehensively strengthening the party's discipline construction, and promoting comprehensive and strict governance of the party, we will certainly be able to effectively deal with various predictable and unpredictable risks and challenges on the way forward, and achieve our goals.
