Lin Boxi: Qiongya Anti-Japanese Pioneer Who Has Built Wonder Works

In the history of the Qiongya Anti-Japanese Independent Corps, Lin Boxi, who graduated from the Nanjing Army Infantry School, relied on his professional military talents to frequently establish outstanding achievements in previous battles.

Lin Boxi was born in Chongxing Township, Chongxing District, Wenchang County in 1909. While studying in Qionghai Middle School (now Hainan Middle School), he began to participate in revolutionary activities led by the Communist Party of China. In June 1934, after graduating from the Department of Foreign languages of Sun Yat-sen University, Lin Boxi could have found a comfortable job, but he resolutely organized nine progressive young people to pass the Nanjing Army Infantry School and graduated in June 1936.

After graduation, Lin Boxi was assigned to a certain unit of the National Revolutionary Army as a company commander. At this time, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was on the Long March northward. Lin Boxi's army followed the Red Army that went north to fight against Japan. Along the way, he saw many anti-Japanese slogans and leaflets left by the Red Army. Since then, Lin Boxi knew that the Red Army went north to fight against the Japanese army. The "Anti-Japanese War" was the original intention of Lin Boxi to learn military skills in Nanjing Military Academy. In order to be able to truly devote himself to the Anti-Japanese War, Lin Boxi decided to resign and return to his hometown.

In the spring of 1938, under the arrangement of the Qiongdong County Committee of the Communist Party of China, Lin Boxi went to Yan'an alone to study at the Northern Shaanxi Public School. During his study in Yan'an, Lin Boxi's thinking changed a lot. He was no longer limited to arming the revolution with ideas, but to fight against the Japanese aggressors with weapons. In the autumn of the same year, he returned to Chongxing from Yan'an, sold nearly 100 acres of his family's land, bought more than 70 German-made rifles and shell guns, established the Wenchang County Economic Squadron to carry out armed resistance against Japan, and served as the squadron leader.

Soon after that, the economic squadron was incorporated into the Chongxing guerrillas, and the Chongxing guerrillas were reorganized into the first squadron of the first squadron of the Qiongya Anti-Japanese Independent Corps. Lin Boxi served as the squadron leader, and later served as the deputy leader of the first detachment of the Independent Corps. In the Independent Corps, Lin Bo-hee exerted his extraordinary military talents.

In March 1941, in the face of the Kuomintang reactionary party's crazy attack on the Qiongwen Anti-Japanese Base, Lin Boxi led his troops to participate in the battle of Luopongpo in Qiongshan County, wiped out more than 50 people from the eighth company of the Kuomintang's 7th regiment, and seized 2 machine guns and more than 30 rifles.

Four months later, the Japanese army entered and occupied Meide Village, Dachang Township, Wenchang County, in the central area of Qiongwen, and established a stronghold. In order to repel the Japanese troops who entered and occupied the stronghold of Meide Village, the first detachment and the second detachment of the Qiongya Anti-Japanese Independent Corps worked closely together to repel many attacks by the Kuomintang's Baobao 6. Baobao Seventh Regiment and the Qiongshan and Wenchang reactionary guerrillas, while constantly annihilating the Japanese troops in the movement.

In the January 1942 flood battle, Lin Bo Xi was responsible for directing the troops to fight the enemy. He was tactful, brave, calm and decisive in commanding the troops, and effectively attacked more and more enemy reinforcements. For two days in a row, they repelled the rescue of the stubborn army, but later withdrew voluntarily due to lack of ammunition. This was the biggest anti-stubborn battle during the Qiongya Anti-Japanese War, wiping out hundreds of stubborn troops. Lin Boxi's meritorious service in the battle fully demonstrated his military ability.

At the beginning of 1942, Lin Boxi was directly absorbed into the Communist Party of China by the Qiongya Special Committee of the Communist Party of China, and was promoted to the leader of the third detachment. Soon, Lin Boxi was killed in an ambush against the Japanese in Jinjiling, at the age of 33.
