Zhu De's Political Consciousness

Zhu De, a "vegetable grower"
In the revolutionary era of war, in the practice of the struggle between blood and fire, in the face of the confrontation between the two forces of justice and evil, and the choice between light and darkness, the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries have risen up after several setbacks and gone through hardships. And hardened into steel, embodies the strong political consciousness and the principle of party spirit. Jude is one of them.
There are no special members in the party.During the revolutionary war, when Zhu De was in Ruijin, Jiangxi, he was once organized in the party group of the confidential section of the Central Military Commission to lead an organizational life. He was worried that the party group leader was worried that he was the chief and regarded him as a "special party member". He had "three rules" with the party group leader: first, the party group must inform him of its organizational life; second, the party group must have him when assigning tasks to each party member; third, the party group leader must regularly listen to him to report his thoughts. During the Anti-Japanese War, Zhu De, like other leading comrades of the Central Committee, was very busy every day. One day, Zhu De's party group responded to the call of the headquarters branch and used the party day activity time to do a voluntary labor to level the playground. Most of this group was a member of the guard class. Zhu De was working in the war office at that time, and the party group leader did not inform him to take part in voluntary labor. Afterwards, Zhu De learned about this, so he asked the party group leader for a review and made self-criticism at the group meeting. He said: "There are no special members in the Party, they are all ordinary members. Every party member should fulfill the obligation of a party member. I suggested that the comrades of the headquarters take part in the voluntary labor to level the playground. The party organization has also made a decision, and I should take the lead in implementing it. It is impossible to say that I did not participate in this voluntary labor. Comrades are welcome to criticize me and supervise me to strictly implement the party's decision. "Soon, Zhu De mentioned this matter in front of the guard soldiers and made self-criticism again. His spirit of strict self-discipline and serious self-criticism has infected many party members and educated the masses.
I am a member of the Communist Party, and my duty is to implement the Party's decisions. In June 1935, after the Fourth Front Army of the Red 1. met in Maogong, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee held a meeting in Lianghekou and passed the decision to go north to resist Japan. Zhang Guotao, leader of the Fourth Red Front Army, was unwilling to implement this decision. In order to improve unity, Zhu De sincerely talked with Zhang Guotao all night long, but Zhang Guotao refused. In fact, after the meeting of Mao Gong, Zhang Guotao saw that the Central Red Army was seriously downsized and had difficulty in providing equipment. He believed that the Red Army was strong and Ma Zhuang was strong, so he made a wishful thinking of taking power by force. On August 3, the headquarters of the Red Army decided to reorganize the first and fourth front armies of the Red Army, divided into left and right armies and headed north, with the left army led by Zhu de and Zhang Guotao. On September 15, Zhang Guotao held a meeting of Party members and activists of the Sichuan-Kang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Fourth Red Front Army in Aba, publicly put forward the idea of going south, and incited the participants to criticize the Central Committee and besiege Zhu De and Liu Bocheng. At the meeting, in the face of the hustle and bustle of Zhang Guotao and his gang, Zhu De was very calm and looked through the book in his hand as if nothing had happened. Zhang Guotao forced Zhu De to declare his opposition to the north, his confidant Huang Chao unexpectedly jumped up arrogantly, calling Zhu De "old muddleheaded" old rightist "old stubborn". Zhu De, who could not bear it, stood up, and the teacup on the table broke to the ground: "The Party Central Committee's policy of going north is correct. I raised my hand at the Politburo meeting. I'm not against going north, I'm for going north. I am a member of the Communist Party and my duty is to carry out the decisions of the Party. "The former Red Army, which was incorporated into the Left Route Army, was very dissatisfied with Zhang Guotao's violation of the decision of the Central Committee, and some cadres even planned to privately pull troops to the Central Committee. In order to avoid a more serious situation caused by unauthorized actions, Zhu De once said to them: "We must adhere to the truth, persist in the struggle, and resolutely support the party Central Committee's line of going northward to resist Japan, but we must master the correct struggle strategy, take into account the overall situation, and safeguard the unity of the Red Army. "thanks to zhu de's enlightening and education, everyone put up with it and in fact became an important force to contain zhang guotao.
When we Communists do things, we must have the spirit of being planted by our predecessors, harvesting by future generations, planting trees by our predecessors, and enjoying the cool air by future generations.During the Long March, many soldiers suffered from "bird blindness" (night blindness) because of the acute shortage of food and the lack of access to vegetables. In the absence of medicine at that time, the most effective treatment was to eat more vegetables. To this end, Zhu De called on all troops to grow vegetables as long as there are conditions; if there are no conditions, they should dig more wild vegetables to eat. In 1936, the Red Army came to Luhuo on the Long March, and the headquarters decided to take a short rest here. Zhu De asked the guards to buy some rapeseed at the villagers' home, borrowed a wooden plough, put on a mule, and planted vegetables on a clearing outside the resident wall. Half a month later, Zhu De's vegetables have sprouted, brush, green, bright. Unexpectedly, at this moment, the headquarters issued an order, saying that the troops would go to Ganzi and join the 2. Sixth Army in a few days. In the evening of that day, Zhu De called on the guards to water the vegetables and apply some fertilizer. The guard promised in his mouth, but he dawdled in his actions. While looking for a bucket, he muttered in a low voice: "No matter how good the food grows, we can't eat it. "hearing this, zhu de smiled, patiently enlighten him and said:" comrade, we can't eat, what does it matter? as long as the follow-up troops come, we can eat. Even if the follow-up troops don't pass through here, it's better to leave it to the villagers! When we Communists do things, we must have the spirit of being planted by our predecessors, harvesting by future generations, planting trees by our predecessors, and enjoying the cool air by future generations. What are we doing revolution today, suffering from cold and hunger, bleeding and sacrifice for? It is not for the happiness of millions of people and our children and grandchildren. This is what makes us Communists different from ordinary people. I see you have some bad ideas in your little brain! Let's go and water with me first. As for the reason, lie down at night and think slowly. "The wood is not drilled through, the words are not clear, the reason is not reasonable. The guard is a new party member. Hearing Zhu De say so, his heart suddenly enlightened. He was carrying a bucket and ran happily to the vegetable field.
