High-end hospital sand industry team helps the 13th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification

The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification is one of the three major environmental conventions under the framework of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development. It was adopted in Paris on June 7, 1994 and officially entered into force in December 1996.

On September 15, 2017, the 13th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification came to an end in Ordos, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. Since its opening on September 6, the two-week meeting has attracted more than 2000 representatives from 196 contracting countries and more than 20 international organizations. All parties have conducted in-depth consultations and discussions on the issue of combating desertification.

For a long time, the Sand Industry Engineering Equipment Research Institute of Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University (referred to as "High-end Institute") has been committed to promoting the sustainable development of the sand industry, developing and designing a complete set of mechanical equipment around the needs of the Salix wood manufacturing process, and relying on the Inner Mongolia Qingyan Salix Industrial Engineering Technology Center Co., Ltd. jointly established by the High-end Institute and the People's Government of Yijinhuoluo Banner in Ordos City, focusing on the comprehensive utilization of Inner Mongolia, science and technology to promote the development of the Salix industry, with the Salix industry to promote desertification control.

The first phase of the project started construction on October 16, 2016. At present, a Salix wood profile production line with an annual output of 15000 m³ and a wood structure housing production line with an annual output of 30000 ㎡ have been built in Yijinhuoluo Banner, Ordos City. On June 30, 2017, the first batch of Salix wood was successfully rolled off the production line. On September 6, the first batch of Salix wood-"Tianjiao Shengmu Pavilion" was unveiled at the Conference of the Parties, which quickly received representatives from all over the world. Widely concerned, works of art have been produced in the desert, and China's determination and measures to combat desertification have won praise from the world.
