Biomedical Institute of High-end Hospital Successfully Held Parent-Child Activity for Risk Assessment of Dental Caries Incidence

On September 2, 2018, the "Caries Incidence Risk Assessment Parent-Child Activity" jointly organized by the Institute of Biomedicine and Equipment of Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University (referred to as "High-end Institute") and Beijing Gangda Medical Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Gangda Medical") was successfully held in Building 5 of Kechuang Huigu Park, dr. Xuan Songyu, an expert in children's stomatology and the stomatological center of Peking University Hospital, was invited to attend the event. Wang Zhao, director of the Institute of Biomedicine, Mr. Jin Canhu, medical manager of Gangda, and his medical team also attended the event. This parent-child activity has been the high-end hospital internal staff and their families and social direct registration personnel actively participate.

At 9:00 a.m., the activity officially began, and the staff led parents and children into the stadium. First of all, Dr. Xuan Songyu and Liu Qingqing, project director of the Institute of Biomedicine, introduced caries and gave guidance on brushing teeth, and answered parents' questions on the spot. Under the guidance of professionals, parents and children have mastered the correct method of brushing teeth. In his introduction, Xuan Songyu stressed that in order to achieve the effect of dental caries prevention and control in children, at least two professional examinations should be carried out in the hospital every year.

Subsequently, Xuan Songyu carried out sampling and testing of caries bacteria on the surface of children's teeth and tooth decay detection, and applied fluoride to children of all ages to protect their teeth, so as to enhance their antacid ability and inhibit the growth of bacteria in the oral cavity, thus achieving the purpose of preventing dental caries. The assessment results and prevention suggestions will also be notified to all parents three days after the activity, so as to help children have good and healthy dental care habits.

After the tooth sampling, the activity entered the leisure and entertainment session. The children enjoyed the healthy tooth biscuits prepared by biomedicine and interactive sand painting games. Teeth biscuit is a product independently developed by the Institute of Biomedicine. By regulating the oral flora, it can effectively inhibit oral acid-producing cariogenic bacteria. Generally, it can be eaten by children at 10 am or 3 pm every day to effectively inhibit oral acid-producing cariogenic bacteria. Breeding, so as to achieve the effect of preventing dental caries.
