Tianjin Held Martyrs' Memorial Day to Lend Flower Baskets to People's Heroes
On September 30, our city held a flower basket ceremony to the people's heroes on the Martyrs Memorial Day in the City Martyrs Cemetery, remembering the revolutionary martyrs, carrying forward the revolutionary spirit, and gathering powerful forces to promote high-quality development and comprehensively build a socialist modern metropolis.
Municipal Party Committee Secretary Chen Miner, CPPCC Chairman Wang Changsong and other representatives from all walks of life attended the meeting. Deputy secretary of the municipal party committee, mayor Zhang Gong presided over.
The martyrs cemetery is solemn and solemn, with green pines and cypresses standing tall and vigorous, and bright five-star red flags flying high. At about 10 o'clock, the ceremony of presenting flower baskets to the people's heroes officially began.
The majestic "March of the Volunteers" was played and the the People's Republic of China national anthem was sung in unison. After singing the national anthem, representatives from all walks of life paid a silent tribute to the martyrs who gave their lives for the cause of the Chinese people's liberation and the construction of the Republic, and remembered the great achievements of the revolutionary martyrs. After the silence, the Young Pioneers sang "We are the successors of Communism", and the loud singing resounded through the cemetery.
At the scene, 7 flower baskets were presented by the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, the Municipal Government, the CPPCC, the People's Liberation Army and the Armed Police Force in Tianjin, the city's democratic parties, the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, and people without party affiliation, the city's people's organizations and people from all walks of life. The red ribbon of the flower basket reads "People's Heroes Immortal".
Accompanied by the affectionate "Flower Offering Song", 14 salute soldiers steadily raised the flower baskets and placed them on the monument base with neat steps. Chen Miner, Zhang Gong, Wang Changsong and others looked solemn and solemn. They came to the flower basket and stopped to stare. Chen Miner stepped forward and carefully arranged the ribbon of the flower basket. Afterwards, the city leaders and representatives from all walks of life walked slowly around the martyrs' monument, paid affectionate respects, presented flowers, and expressed deep memory and high respect to the revolutionary martyrs.
After the flower basket ceremony, Chen Miner, Zhang Gong, Wang Changsong and others visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall of the City Martyrs Cemetery.
