Featured Courses Help Talent Cultivation 2023 Design Thinking Training Course Successfully Held in Our College

From July 1st to 2nd, Tsinghua University Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Institute") successfully held the 2023 "High-end Equipment Practice" course design thinking course training activities. In order to promote the interdisciplinary and coordinated development, expand the breadth of students' thinking, and stimulate students' innovative vitality, our college invited the team of Professor Zhao Chao of the Department of Industrial Design of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University and Associate Professor Liu Zhensheng of the Department of Industrial Design to conduct design thinking courses for 17 graduate students Closed training activities.
During the course, Liu Zhensheng gave a theoretical lecture on the introduction of basic knowledge of design thinking, and initially introduced the basic content, basic concepts and application of design cases of design thinking to graduate students with engineering backgrounds such as machinery, precision instruments and automation, so as to build a rigid thinking channel between scientific research and academic research and industrial product molding design, laying a foundation for the upcoming workshop training.
 

Teacher Liu Zhensheng teaches

Zhao Chao's teacher team divided the students into groups according to the basic situation of the students' selection of topics. Under the guidance of a team mentor, each group combined with the basic knowledge of design thinking, carried out workshop training, and expanded design ideas for each group of follow-up topics.
Teacher Liu Zhensheng combined the actual situation of the course development, carried out targeted lectures on innovative design methods, combined the basic theories, basic design methods and practice used in the teaching of the Department of Industrial Design, and guided students to analyze the upcoming development in more depth. Practical topics.
At the end of the course, each group of students sorted out the plan materials according to the previous lectures and workshop training. Each group of students adjusted and perfected their own project plans and general ideas in the form of PPT. At last, the periodic report began. Each group of students took the form of PPT, focusing on how to apply design thinking to their own projects, and reported the basic ideas for the follow-up of their respective projects, and the teachers present will comment on all the reports in turn.

Student Group Training Highlights

This innovative thinking training camp is another professional cross-integration after the first attempt of interdisciplinary collaborative development in 2022. The "High-end Equipment Practice" course summarizes the experience of the course, combines the actual needs of students with the innovation of teaching mode and useful practical exploration, expands the organizational form of the practice base course, enriches the content of the practice base course, and effectively promotes the cross-coordinated development of different disciplines. In the future, the activity will actively explore the cross integration of more majors, form a simulation innovation team with students of different majors, take the formation of concept products as the goal, introduce innovative thinking software, help students experience from the formation of innovative thinking ability to the landing of innovative products, and cultivate students' team spirit and innovative thinking concept.
