Tsinghua University Mechanical Department's 2023 Spring Term Retreat Held Successfully in Our College
In order to strengthen the linkage of departments and colleges and enhance the coordinated development with the dispatched colleges, on March 12, 2023, the 2023 spring semester retreat of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University was successfully held at the Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University (hereinafter referred to as "Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Research Institute"). Xiong Zhuo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Machinery, Wang Jiadao, Director of the Department of Machinery and Dean of Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Institute, and other members of the Party and Government Joint Committee; Director of the Academic Committee; Director of the Teaching Committee; Chairman of the Degree Evaluation Sub-Committee; Director of the Research Institute and Secretary of the Branch; Tsinghua Tianjin Equipment Institute Executive Vice President and other relevant persons in charge attended the retreat.
Exhibition Hall Visit
The participants visited the achievements exhibition hall of our institute. He Yongyong, executive vice president, introduced the construction process, operation mode, awards and honors of the Institute, and focused on the industrial transformation and development achievements of the Tsinghua team in the Institute. He also welcomed more Tsinghua scientific research teams to come to the platform of the Institute to carry out scientific and technological innovation, so as to promote the industrial application and development of China's independent innovation technology.

Wang Jiadao, head of the mechanical department and president of our college, presided over the special retreat on personnel training. The participants discussed in depth the personnel training work of the mechanical department in the next semester from the aspects of curriculum construction, practical teaching, experimental class construction, and improvement of the academic level of graduate students. Participants spoke and discussed enthusiastically, and gave constructive opinions on how to build a world-class discipline goal, the integration of production, teaching and research, and the development of young teachers.
