Xi Jinping pointed out that the world is once again at a crossroads. Where is the world heading? What about the Asia-Pacific? We must give the answer. Asia-Pacific economic cooperation has injected strong impetus into regional development and effectively improved the well-being of the people. Experience is precious, and the first heart needs to be adhered.
We must follow the path of peaceful development. After getting rid of the haze of the Cold War, the Asia-Pacific region, especially the small and medium-sized economies, has stepped into the fast lane of modernization, and the "Asia-Pacific miracle" came into being. The Asia-Pacific region is not who's back garden, should not become a great power arena. The people will not agree to any attempt to engage in a "new cold war", and the times will not allow it!
Take the path of openness and inclusiveness. For decades, APEC has upheld open regionalism, adhered to the principles of diversity and non-discrimination, and built an inclusive and inclusive regional cooperation framework. It is with this kind of mind and pattern that the Asia-Pacific region can be at the forefront of the times in terms of regional economic integration. Blocking or even dismantling the long-standing industrial chain and supply chain in the Asia-Pacific region will only lead to a "dead end" in Asia-Pacific economic cooperation ".

Xi Jinping emphasized that under the new situation, we must learn from historical experience and lessons, respond to the challenges of the times, firmly promote economic integration in the Asia-Pacific region, jointly open up new prospects for development, and build an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future.
First, build a solid foundation for peaceful development. Follow the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, establish a common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security concept, jointly oppose the Cold War mentality and camp confrontation, and build an Asia-Pacific security architecture.
Second, adhere to the people-centered concept. Focus on ensuring people's livelihood in economic development and fostering an inclusive development environment. Developed economies in the Asia-Pacific region should actively support developing economies and build new partnerships that are united, equal, balanced and inclusive.
Third, create a higher level of openness. Promote the process of the Asia-Pacific Free Trade Area, fully and deeply participate in the reform of the WTO, promote the convergence of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, and the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement, and build an open Asia-Pacific economy.
Fourth, to achieve a higher level of connectivity. Guided by the APEC connectivity blueprint, we will promote hardware connectivity, software docking and personnel exchanges in an orderly manner. China will actively promote the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" with the development strategies of all parties, and jointly build a high-quality Asia-Pacific interconnection network.
Fifth, to create a stable and smooth industrial chain supply chain. Follow economic laws, adhere to market principles, and create a convenient, efficient and safe Asia-Pacific industrial chain supply chain. We will jointly oppose unilateralism and protectionism.
Sixth, promote economic optimization and upgrading. Accelerate scientific and technological innovation and institutional innovation, cultivate new economies, new formats and new business models, and realize the digital transformation of the Asia-Pacific economy. We will adhere to green and low-carbon development, expand green industries and green finance, and accelerate the construction of a green cooperation pattern in the Asia-Pacific region.
Xi Jinping explained in depth the basic characteristics and essential requirements of Chinese-style modernization, and pointed out that the modernization of China's more than 1.4 billion population will be an unprecedented event in the history of human development.
