In order to implement the national "double carbon" strategy and build a "three energy and six green" development model, Tianjin Mobile has deeply implemented the concept of green development, innovated science and technology on the basis of consolidating existing energy-saving achievements, comprehensively promoted wireless network power-saving work, and achieved new breakthroughs in energy conservation by tapping the potential through AI means.
Traditional 5G base station energy saving usually sets a fixed time period based on operation and maintenance experience to start the relevant energy-saving functions, but with the growth of 5G business, this extensive energy-saving period is constantly compressed, can not achieve the best energy-saving effect under the protection of user perception. Tianjin Mobile optimizes the power-saving strategy through the AI power-saving platform, and realizes the 24-hour automatic scheduling of 5G base station channel shutdown function with AI algorithm. By expanding daytime power saving time, promoting all-weather power saving and business-based one-stop, we are looking for new breakthroughs in 5G energy saving. By turning on LNR multi-mode joint symbol shutdown to promote 4/5G energy saving, explore new ways to reduce 5G energy consumption. Compared with before and after the implementation, the average daily power consumption of 5G stations decreased from 20.64 degrees to 20.38 degrees, a decrease of 1.25 percent; the average daily power consumption of 4G stations decreased from 16.10 degrees to 15.65 degrees, a decrease of 2.80 percent; and the average daily power consumption of the whole network decreased by 18123 degrees, saving about 6.61 million degrees per year.
In the future, Tianjin Mobile will continue to explore new means of digital energy saving, relying on AI intelligence and big data technology to save energy and improve energy efficiency.
