The Chinese Academy of Sciences announced in Beijing the launch of the "Chinese Academy of Sciences Science and Technology Support Carbon Peak Carbon Neutrality Strategic Action Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan"). According to Academician Ding Chibiao, Director of the Bureau of Major Science and Technology Tasks of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the "Action Plan" focuses on solving key core scientific and technological problems, and systematically arranges scientific and technological strategic research, basic frontier cross-innovation, key core technology breakthroughs, new technology comprehensive demonstration, and talent support. Eight major actions including cultivation, international cooperation support, innovation system capability improvement, and double-carbon science popularization. Facing the major scientific and technological needs of the dual-carbon strategy, with scientific and technological innovation as the core task, in the fields of energy and carbon sinks, from basic research, key core technology breakthroughs to comprehensive demonstration of the whole chain layout, and at the same time, focusing on scientific and technological innovation tasks, in the construction of talent teams and international cooperation, Platform conditions, popular science and communication and other aspects of all-round support and guarantee, the specific implementation of 18 key tasks.
