Professor Wang Jiadao, President of our hospital, was appointed "Chinese Ice and Snow Scientist" and won the title of "Advanced Individual in Scientific and Medical Service in 2020-2021 Season".
On the afternoon of July 5th, the State Sports General Administration's "Ice and Snow Project 2020-2021 Season Commendation Conference and China Ice and Snow Science Consultant Certificate Issuance Ceremony" was held at the Winter Sports Management Center of the State Sports General Administration to commend the scientific training during the Beijing Winter Olympics., High-tech equipment research and development verification and vigorously promote the development of ice and snow sports to emerge advanced collectives and advanced individuals. In this commendation, a total of 16 units were awarded the "China Ice and Snow Science and Technology Joint Research Unit", and 15 experts and scholars were hired as "Chinese Ice and Snow Scientists". The State Key Laboratory of Tribology of Tsinghua University was awarded the title of "China Ice and Snow Science and Technology Joint Research Unit", and Professor Wang Jiadao of the State Key Laboratory of Tribology of Tsinghua University was hired as "Chinese Ice and Snow Scientist" and was awarded the title of "Advanced Individual in Science and Medicine Service in 2020-2021.

In the Winter Olympic Games racing events, the drag reduction of posture, clothing, equipment and equipment through aerodynamics, friction control and other technologies can significantly improve the performance of athletes under the same training level, but the application of sports drag reduction technology in China is relatively weak. With the strong support of the General Administration of Sports and the Winter Sports Management Center, Professor Wang Jiadao of the State Key Laboratory of Tribology of Tsinghua University led the research direction of pneumatic and ice and snow friction drag reduction. Teachers and students conducted in-depth research on the optimization of athletes' pneumatic posture, friction drag reduction on ice and snow surfaces, research and development of drag reduction fabrics and equipment, and development of summer training equipment materials. Figure 3 is the surface microstructure of the non-pressure adhesive fabric developed by the team, and Figure 4 is the display sample of the magnetic energy-absorbing dry snow material developed by the team. Science and technology help China's ice and snow. The team of teachers and students of Professor Wang Jiadao from the State Key Laboratory of Tribology of Tsinghua University has made outstanding contributions to the improvement of the performance of Chinese ice and snow athletes. These scientific and technological achievements are of positive significance to the domestic technological development of pneumatic drag reduction, ice and snow friction drag reduction and so on.
