[Person Interview] Hello, I'm Dai Yuanjing
Hello, everyone, the new issue of "People Interview" is meeting with you again ~
In this column, we invited a teacher who is very familiar to everyone, that is, teacher Dai Yuanjing, executive deputy director of the Institute of Lubrication Technology. Teacher Dai's schedule is very tight. The editor is very honored to have a chat with Teacher Dai, and ultimately benefited a lot. Next, please follow our interview to see what we have talked about!
Thank you very much, Mr. Dai, for being a guest of "interview with people" in his busy schedule. Although many friends in the hospital know you well, please introduce yourself first.
Hello everyone, I am Dai Yuanjing, from Nanchang, Jiangxi. In 1996, I went to Xiamen and spent 7 years studying at Xiamen University. In 2008, I arrived in Beijing and worked at Tsinghua University. Then in 2015, I came to Tianjin to participate in the establishment of the Lubrication Technology Research Institute.

My student years.
Where did you work before you went to Beijing?
At that time, I was working in the research institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen. At that time, a teacher Pan and I were doing research on CMP polishing liquid in chip manufacturing. I spent a total of five years there from the establishment of the research room, the recruitment of personnel, the purchase of equipment and the follow-up research and development work.

Days of working at the research institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen
Shenzhen and Beijing can be said to be far apart. Why did you decide to go to Beijing in 2008?
During my time in Shenzhen Tsinghua Institute, I had a certain technical reserve. Teacher Pan, who happened to take me, was also a member of Academician Luo Jianbin's team, so I had the honor to have several working contacts with Teacher Luo. It was also through those contacts that I was recognized by Mr. Luo, so I was suggested to come to Beijing to work in Tsinghua. I was also full of yearning for Tsinghua University, so I decided to work in Beijing at that time.
Can I share with you your working status after arriving in Tsinghua?
The time when I first arrived at Tsinghua was still very difficult. Because Tsinghua University is full of talents, if you want to gain a foothold here and reflect your abilities, you must continue to learn. So during that time, like the students of Tsinghua University, I participated in various academic conferences and academic reports, and then went to read and study by myself. Because I was more inclined to science chemistry during my study and laboratory period, I also had a certain understanding of tribology through the study during that period. It is also based on the foundation laid during that period of time, so that machinery and chemistry can be well combined later, and a series of subsequent research and development work in this area can be carried out.

The days of studying and working in Tsinghua
How did you think of setting up a research institute in Tianjin?
The research institute was established in 2014. In the years before its establishment, we have been doing research on water-based media and ultra-slip directions, and we have also achieved certain phased results. Some of these products have been successfully applied in a machining company in Shandong, which also allows us to see the application prospects and audience groups of these products. Therefore, at that time, Mr. Luo proposed to establish a research institute on the side of the research institute to organically combine the research and development results we have achieved in these areas with the actual needs of the enterprise to transform the results. As a result, we began a series of preparatory work in early 2015, and the Institute was formally established in June of the same year.

Academician Luo led a team to conduct research and exchange in listed manufacturing enterprises.
In addition to the research of water-based media, what other research and development directions do we have?
From the research and development of water-based media, to lubricating oil additives, rolling fluid, waste liquid treatment, self-lubricating materials, and then to biological control technology, the Institute has gradually expanded its research and development fields, and has now formed multiple research and development directions. The Institute has gone through the first five years. During this period, we have established a general technology and product framework. Most of the results have been industrialized, and our industrialized company-Tianjin Qingrunbo Lubrication Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Qingrunbo") has been hatched. At present, Qingrunbo's development is in good condition. Although the turnover is not very high, the annual growth rate is still very good. The company has a certain scale and has won a series of honors. Whether it is a national high-tech enterprise or Tianjin's Young Eagle Plan, it is an affirmation of the development status and future prospects of Qingrunbo.
What do you think about the establishment and development of Qingrunbo?
With the establishment and development of Qingrunbo, our team from colleges and universities has a preliminary understanding of how to operate a company in this field and make it develop healthily. In the future, Qingrunbo may be expanded to undertake more projects and occupy a larger market share. At present, I personally think that Qingrunbo still has a lot of room for development in lubricants, but at the same time, I also hope to develop some other innovations, such as solid lubricating materials, high-end lubricating greases, advanced nanomaterials and so on. Of course, in the future, we will also carry out in-depth thinking and technological innovation based on national orientation and industry needs, and continue to expand our R & D thinking to provide technical support for industrial development.

Make a special report at the authoritative professional meeting of lubricating oil
Through the research and development direction you just mentioned, we can see that the application field of tribology is very broad. Can you briefly introduce tribology to us?
Tribology is a cross science, it is not only related to machinery, it and chemistry, materials, biology and other disciplines are closely related. Most of the friction we come into contact with on a daily basis is macro friction, but it is often easy to overlook the friction in the micro and sub-micro, such as: the friction between molecules and molecules in the liquid, the friction between atoms and protons in the molecules. There is also a lot of friction and lubrication in our body, such as teeth and saliva, cartilage and joint fluid, blood vessel walls and blood, etc.
Why is it related to chemistry and biology? Give two simple examples. One is the lubricating oil used in automobiles, which may produce some tribochemical reactions in the mechanical process of lubrication, so we should take chemical factors into account; the other is water-based medium, because water is the source of life, so it is bound to involve biology, so we should also consider the influence of these microorganisms and the excrement on the acidity, alkalinity, viscosity and other aspects of the medium. Therefore, in the face of such an interdisciplinary science, we should not only focus on machinery, but also pay attention to other related disciplines, which requires that our R & D team must be composed of multidisciplinary talents. At present, in addition to mechanical majors, the institute also has a series of professional R & D personnel in chemistry, materials, biology, etc., and we have also established a biological laboratory to conduct research and development of biological technologies.
Tribology is closely related to so many disciplines, which direction do you plan to explore in the future?
Tribology is to serve the people, and we also take this as our starting point. We have been emphasizing carbon neutrality and trying to reduce carbon emissions, and tribology is also useful in this regard. How to make good use of tribology to solve problems and optimize the industry in the field of new energy and clean energy is a place that requires us to think and explore. In addition, we also have a lot of research and development work that can be carried out in the field of medical and industrial integration. For example, the pipeline structure of the artificial heart, we can modify its surface and control its fluid state to achieve anti-inflammatory, anti-coagulation and other effects, which can greatly reduce the pain of patients. The development of many industries is relatively fast from 60 to 90 points, but it is very difficult to score from 90 to 100 points, so tribology often plays a breakthrough role in industrial development at the stage of 90 to 100 points.

At present, Qingrunbo is developing well. How do you feel during its establishment and development?
In the process of operating a company, the benefits of lean management are very large. We need to pull the team up vertically, to ensure that everyone can complete their corresponding work, to ensure the relative operational independence of each department and the cooperation and linkage between departments, so as to avoid the situation that a certain job cannot be carried out due to the absence of a certain person. The main purpose of this is not only to keep the company in a stable state of operation, but also to release more energy from managers to do some market development, field exploration and other work, which will play an important role in the long-term development of the enterprise in the future. On the other hand, it is talent training. We will arrange work appropriately according to each person's different situations, and try our best to do everyone's work. It takes "hard enough" to complete, so that individuals can grow up in their work. At the same time, I also hope that every member of our team has a better collective consciousness and can achieve happy work.
We understand that you have been awarded the honorary title of "Tianjin March 8th Red Flag Bearer" in 2019. As an outstanding female worker, do you have any suggestions for employees who are new to the workplace?
First of all, I would like to thank the Women's Federation for its affirmation and encouragement. I am very honored to receive this honor. Then for the younger generation of my advice is: clear their own heart. What is the heart? It is our pursuit, our goal and our ideal. Only after we have made clear our own heart, can we make choices and trade-offs in our future work and life, and achieve better development.

Awarded the March 8th Red Flag Bearer Certificate
Very valuable experience sharing, I believe will cause a lot of people's resonance or inspiration.
Let's move on to a lighter topic and talk about family. Do you spend more time with your children now?
It's okay now. I will go back on the weekend or in the middle to try to spend three days a week with my children. But most of the time it was already over 8 o'clock when I got home, so I could only accompany her to sleep and take her to school the next day. Time is still relatively limited, so try to ensure that some educational intervention is carried out when you are with your children.
What does educational intervention mean?
It is mainly the cultivation of character, because character is very important. Everyone has his own nature in disciplinary thinking. In the later stage, it can only be fine-tuned and cannot be changed too much. But cultivating a good character is very important for her future development and happiness.
Are there any usual recreational activities?
Generally, I take my child out to play, watch movies, go to the bookstore, or go boating in the park to relax, mainly to let her get in touch with nature. Recently adopted 2 cats, cat mother Pepe and cat baby Xiaoyu. Playing with the children and cats is the most relaxing entertainment activity at present.

Good time with kids and cats.
Do you have any plans in the near future?
To explore a new direction of development.
I wish you all the best. Thank you again for visiting the "People Interview" column. Finally, I will end this column with a few interesting questions and answers.
Proust Questionnaire
■When and where do you feel the happiest?
When things that have been working hard for a long time make progress and get the results I expect, I will be very happy, including conquering a hard-core project, children and I share a good book, etc.
■What qualities do you like most about women?
With a tough soul wrapped in a soft appearance, women are actually very strong, especially after being a mother, I hope the world can treat all women gently.
■What is your most extravagant?
For me now, the most luxurious thing is to release Xiaoyu from the cage and play with her mother Pepe. Little orange cat mother and child are my current source of happiness. I don't think about anything. I think it is a luxury to watch them play.
■How is your current state of mind?
When people reach middle age, they should learn to live in peace with certain things in the world. Learning balance and compromise is also a sign of maturity and high emotional intelligence. Maintaining the original intention is the most important thing at present.
■What kind of talent do you most want to have?
Increase some artistic accomplishment, at present too science thinking, a little boring, ha ha ~
■What characteristics do you value most about your friends?
Re-commitment and the courage to take responsibility, for unresponsible, extremely selfish people, both men and women, are quite unacceptable, and are unlikely to become friends.
■If you had a choice, what would you want to reproduce?
Going back to the millennium, I should have made completely different life choices and tried completely different paths in life.
After the interview, the editor benefited a lot, and several key words came to mind: innovation, exploration, and people-oriented. I believe that whether it is lubrication or Qingrunbo, under such a style will get good development, let us look forward to it!
