The first Tsinghua Department of Mechanical Engineering, Intelligent Equipment Design and Manufacturing Master's thesis defense meeting was successfully held in our college.

On May 26, 2021, the Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University (hereinafter referred to as "Tsinghua Tianjin High-end Institute") successfully held the graduation thesis defense meeting of the 2018-level intelligent equipment design and manufacturing graduate students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University. This year's graduates are the first master's degree in intelligent equipment design and manufacturing trained by Tsinghua Tianjin High-end Institute as a training practice base and the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University. The chairmen of the review team of the defense committee are teachers Ji Linhong and Li Peijie, members of the degree sub-committee of Tsinghua University, respectively. The secretaries are teachers Shang Hongfei and Li Kejian, assistant researchers of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The review experts are teachers above the deputy senior level of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and senior engineers in relevant enterprises. A total of 17 students from the 2018-level master of intelligent equipment design and manufacturing participated in the defense.

The defense meeting officially began at 9 a.m. The two chairmen of the defense committee welcomed the experts and students who participated in the defense meeting and put forward specific requirements for the organization of the defense. Subsequently, 17 graduate students in turn under the guidance of the defense secretary for the graduation thesis defense, reported the research significance of each topic, methods, research process, research results and other content. The experts of the evaluation team analyzed and evaluated each student's defense and put forward specific constructive suggestions.

After the report, the experts of the review team held closed-door meetings to discuss and study the students' graduation thesis reports, and gave review opinions within 2 hours after the defense meeting.

The students waited nervously for the review results and the experts actively discussed the review opinions.

In the end, after intense discussions among the experts of the review team, a review resolution was formed. The chairman of the review team read out and congratulated the graduate students. After the meeting, the review experts took photos with the graduate students. At this point, the graduation thesis defense meeting of the 2018-level intelligent equipment design and manufacturing major of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University has been successfully concluded.
