"Fighting Will" Battle Hero Han Decai

Henderson grew from a pilot to a general of the Republic. From responding to the call to join the People's Air Force, to participating in the war to resist US aggression and aid Korea, and then to participating in the comprehensive construction of the People's Air Force, he was all "fighting" and moving forward. On the battlefield to resist US aggression and Aid Korea, he risked his life and death, dominated the blue sky, shot down five enemy planes, won first-class merit twice, and was awarded "second-class combat hero" by the Air Force ".
Fight for theoretical study to ensure the foundation of winning
In the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, because the air control was in the hands of the US military, it was extremely unfavorable to the volunteer combat operations. The superiors asked the volunteer air force to quickly go to the front to fight the US military. At this time, Han Decai was studying aviation theory hard at the Fifth Aviation School of the People's Liberation Army, eager to become an air force pilot as soon as possible, flying a war eagle to participate in the war. However, for him, who has only read private school for a year, it is not easy to master aviation theories involving flight principles, aircraft engine working principles, structure and applications, as well as pilotage, topography, meteorology and other disciplines within one month.
Spell it! It's only a month, he made up his mind. With this belief and spirit, he just memorized everything he didn't understand or didn't understand from scratch with his young age, good health, strong energy and strong memory. If you don't understand in class, you will pester the teacher to break the casserole and ask questions until you get through. Use all available time to study by yourself, read the lecture notes, and take notes with other students to deepen your knowledge and understanding. Lights out at night, in order not to affect other people's rest, he always closes the door of the classroom first and does not insert the bolt of the window. When other people fall asleep, he jumps into the classroom from the window to continue his study, which lasts until late at night. Later, the aviation school was afraid of affecting the students' health. After the lights were turned off, the classroom was not allowed to enter. He ran to the corridor to read his notes and recite the lessons he had learned. In this way, he studied for 18 hours a day. In a month's time, he basically did not take off his clothes or take a bath. He gritted his teeth and fought over. In the final theoretical examination, he broke through the difficulty of aviation theory with a score of four points and successfully completed the task of learning aviation theory assigned by the party.
Fighting Flight Technology Ramming to Win the Foundation
The successful conclusion of the study of aviation theory marks that Han Decai has stepped onto a new level, but for a combat pilot, it is only the beginning of the long march. At that time, Jacques -18 was a must-pass for the first time. He vowed to live up to the Party's training and put it together again: when practicing driving and testing on the ground, he tried his best to be familiar with various instruments, parameters, functions and positions of the cockpit. During the pilot preparation, from the production of topographic maps, flight operations, and the distribution of front and rear cabin equipment of the aircraft, he drew repeatedly, listened carefully and forcibly memorised. In the field teaching at the airport, he scored five points in the cockpit practice, the orientation of take-off, the angle between the landing ground and the practice of wearing a safety umbrella. During the flight preparation mission, according to the requirements of looking at the terrain and aerobatics, he taxied from takeoff to landing until the instructor was satisfied. When practicing aerobatics, he circled from a large slope to a vertical movement, from a spiral to a roll, a series of movements and procedures, always keeping the same height as the instructor. When the group was the first to fly alone, he was extremely excited and drove the war eagle to soar in the blue sky of the motherland. A series of movements of ascent, turn, descent and landing, he flew smoothly, cleanly and neatly.
The newly added two subjects of target attack on the ground and formation flying. Although the former is an experiential subject, he does not fire guns or take photos, but he learns carefully and fights resolutely. Although the latter is a sortie, he takes it seriously and practices repeatedly on the ground in strict accordance with the manipulation essentials told by the instructors. The effort paid off, and finally Henderson passed the full set of stunt spiral movements and graduated successfully.
  Training before fighting and winning
On the eve of the battle, Han Decai devoted himself to the theoretical and technical study of MiG fighters and pre-war training. The MiG fighter was a world-class aircraft at the time. In his heart, since it was a first-class aircraft, it was necessary to use the shortest time to win battles and make military exploits on the battlefield to resist US aggression and aid Korea. On July 1, 1951, Han Decai was assigned to be a wingman pilot in the 43rd Regiment and 1st Brigade of the 15th Air Division of Shenyang Dongta Airport. The regimental commander Ji Hong asked him to learn to fly MiG -15 jet fighters. Han Decai, who studied hard, quickly mastered the structure, performance, characteristics, operation and use methods of the MiG -15 fighter, the judgment of faults, and the essentials of emergency response under special circumstances, and was the first to fly solo in the whole regiment.
Forced by the situation of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, on the fifth flight day after the flight, Han Decai entered combat training, that is, formation training, from two-plane, four-plane, eight-plane, and 12-plane formation, to 24-plane formation (regiment formation), and also flew division formation. Every time he carefully pondered the characteristics of long planes and learned how to fly closely with the team. His flying skills have improved rapidly. As long as the wings of the long plane shake, he will know what to do. When the fighter plane flies solo to the ground target live ammunition training, he has trained the pilot's important winning skills, which is not only difficult but also risky. In addition, it is the first live ammunition shooting. In order to ensure the absolute safety of the training, he carefully prepared for the flight and asked the officer to explain in detail the method of ground target attack, aimed at the shooting essentials and precautions, and then repeatedly practiced on the ground until they knew it well before they went to the air. As the tongues of fire erupted from the two wings of the fighter plane, the bull's-eye quickly billowed with smoke, which could really be described as "a thunderbolt shooting in the air, and the power of God shook the universe". As of late December 1951, a series of regular flight training and pre-war combat training, including air fuel tank throwing, have been completed, and he will be greeted by the glorious mission of resisting US aggression and aiding Korea and defending the country.
 Air bayonet forging win soul
Han Decai, who "fought" all the way, was wise and brave, and took part in the air battle to resist US aggression and Aid Korea with the combat posture of "fighting bayonets in the air. The American "double ace" pilot Harold Edward Fisher shot down, is his air combat masterpiece.
At 16 o'clock on April 7, 1953, 12 fighters of the regiment went out of the Yalu River mouth to search for planes. When they were passing through the clouds, they were separated from the other 8 Han Decai 4-plane formation. Because no enemy situation was found, the ground command ordered them to return and cover the planes for landing. When he and the long-plane pilot Zhang Niuke were preparing to land, the commander suddenly heard a hasty command from the headset: "Pull up, there". He quickly pulled up the war eagle and searched around and found two U.S. planes chasing a friendly plane. Suddenly, the U.S. plane found that the Zhang Niuke plane in front of it was low in altitude and slow in speed. It had an opportunity to take advantage of it. It immediately responded and opened fire on the Zhang Niuke plane, which was sliding and landing. The Zhang Niuke plane, which had no time to avoid, trembled violently and fireworks appeared from its tail. At the critical moment, with the responsibility of covering the long plane out of danger and the idea of shooting down the US plane, he ignored the warning light of the oil volume, increased the throttle and rushed to the enemy plane, forcing the US plane to let go of the Zhang Niu section chief plane and help it land safely.
The brave will win when they meet on a narrow road, and the brave will win when they meet the wise. When Han Decai saw the distance from the firing, the US plane suddenly slid down and turned right in an attempt to lure him to follow him down and then use F-86 good maneuverability to quickly get out. Han Decai saw through this trick, not only did not chase it down, but rose a little height to observe the US aircraft. When the U.S. plane saw that Han Decai did not follow up, it suddenly pulled up to the upper left. Han Decai was quick-sighted and pushed the nose to turn left to intercept. When the U.S. plane saw the situation was not good, it suddenly turned right. Han Decai also turned right to chase after it. The distance quickly approached. Finally, the U.S. plane was put into the halo of the sight. When approaching 300 meters, it severely pressed the gun button to shoot it down. The U.S. pilot parachuted in an instant and was captured alive by a volunteer soldier. At this time, the returning Handchai fighter had just entered the runway when the engine suddenly stopped. On April 9, the Seoul branch of the Associated Press published a message that it was the US "double ace" pilot Fischer who was shot down by Henderson.
