Recently, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission issued important instructions on the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the science and technology commissioner system. The team continues to grow, becoming the party's "three rural" policy propaganda team, the disseminator of agricultural science and technology, the leader of technological innovation and entrepreneurship, and the leader of rural poverty alleviation and prosperity, so that the majority of farmers have more sense of gain, happiness.
Xi Jinping stressed that innovation is an important support for the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas. The summary meeting of the 20th anniversary of the implementation of the science and technology commissioner system was held in Beijing on the 21st. The meeting conveyed Xi Jinping's important instructions.
Liu He, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He said that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions are the fundamental follow and action guide for the in-depth advancement of the science and technology commissioner system in the new era. Over the past 20 years, the science and technology commissioner system has persisted in taking serving "agriculture, rural areas and farmers" as the starting point and foothold, taking scientific and technological talents as the main body, and taking scientific and technological achievements as the link, and has achieved remarkable results in promoting rural revitalization and development and helping to win the battle against poverty. In the new era, the in-depth implementation of the science and technology commissioner system must focus on innovation-driven development, rural revitalization and poverty alleviation, further improve the institutional system and policy environment, further develop and expand the team of science and technology commissioners, and spread the momentum of innovation to the fields.
The meeting praised 92 science and technology commissioners and 43 organizations and implementation units. Representatives of Zhejiang Province, Nanping City in Fujian Province, Jinggangshan City in Jiangxi Province and special commissioners for science and technology made exchange speeches at the meeting.
