[Exchange Seminar] The 4th "Youth High-end Forum Friction and Lubrication" was successfully held in Xiangyang City, Hubei Province
On August 8-10, 2019, the 4th Youth High-end Forum with the theme of "Friction and Lubrication" was held in Xiangyang, Hubei. The event was sponsored by the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, the Tribology Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, the Youth working Committee of the Tribology Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, and the Tianjin High-end equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University. it was co-sponsored by the people's Government of Xiangzhou District, Xiangyang City, Hubei Province, and undertaken by Langtai Testing (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. The forum mainly focuses on the basic research and application of friction and lubrication, rail transit operation and maintenance, equipment lubrication management and testing technology to carry out academic exchanges and discussions. The forum brought together more than 20 experts and scholars at home and abroad, including German railway experts Mr. Thomas Koehler and Mr. Volker Horn, Swedish scholar Prakash Braham, Tsinghua University professor Meng Yonggang, Tsinghua University Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute Vice President Zhang Xiangjun, as well as leaders in the field of friction and lubrication in various scientific research institutions and enterprises and institutions.
The forum lasted for 3 days and held 16 lectures. Representatives from universities, research institutes and enterprises conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the theories and industrial needs of tribology design, high temperature tribology performance characteristics, bearing high temperature failure, intelligent lubrication, cylinder liner surface treatment technology, equipment lubrication management and lubrication technology in the field of rail transit. Zhang Xiangjun, vice president of our institute, Yang Chao, director of the Institute of Testing Equipment and Technology, and Yin Wei, deputy director of the Lubrication and Friction Testing Center, also made shared speeches on intelligent lubrication in industrial equipment, diagnosis and instruments for early faults of gear faults, and basic theories of tribology.
