Xi Jinping's Excerpts on Socialist Political Construction Published
The book "Excerpts from Xi Jinping's Expositions on Socialist Political Construction" edited by the Literature Research Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was recently published by the Central Literature Publishing House and distributed nationwide.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core has unswervingly followed the path of political development of socialism with Chinese characteristics, adhered to the organic unity of party leadership, the people being the masters of the country, and the rule of law, and took the overall situation and coordinated all parties. Actively and steadily promote the reform of the political system, continuously develop socialist democratic politics, and make new major achievements in the construction of socialist political civilization. Conscientiously studying and implementing Comrade Xi Jinping's important exposition on socialist political construction will further strengthen the political self-confidence of the whole party and society, enhance the confidence and determination to follow the path of socialist political development with Chinese characteristics, and continuously promote the self-improvement and development of my country's socialist political system. The modernization of the national governance system and governance capabilities has very important guiding significance to realize the "two centenary" goals and realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The excerpt is divided into nine topics: unswervingly follow the road of political development of socialism with Chinese characteristics; adhere to the leadership of the party, give full play to the leading core role of the party in taking charge of the overall situation and coordinating all parties; keep pace with the times and improve the system of people's Congress; promote the extensive and multi-level institutionalized development of deliberative democracy; comprehensively promote the rule of law and accelerate the construction of a socialist country ruled by law; fully implement the party's ethnic and religious policies; strengthen and improve the party's group work under the new situation. The book contains 330 paragraphs of discussion, which are excerpted from more than 70 important documents such as speeches, reports, talks, and instructions made by Comrade Xi Jinping from November 15, 2012 to May 3, 2017. Many of these statements are published for the first time.
