The Institute of Industrial Automation Equipment and Technology of our hospital successfully passed the program review of Lanshi Project
On November 29, 2016, Sun Zhenguo, Director of the Institute of Industrial Automation Equipment and Technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute of Industrial Automation"), Executive Deputy Director Zhao Zhigang, and Chief Researcher Chen Yonghua and Wu Jingran of Tsinghua University Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the "High-end Institute") came to Lanzhou Petrochemical Group to conduct a plan review report to the owner on the development project of a large-scale steel structural component NDT robot prototype.
On the afternoon of the 29th, at the invitation of the owner, the leaders and experts of the Industrial Automation Institute watched the demonstration of Olympus TOFD flaw detection in the container welding workshop of Lanshi Testing Company. The team then visited other production workshops and related equipment of the company.

On the morning of the 30th, the owner of Lanshi Project held a "Review Meeting on the Development Scheme of the Principle Prototype of Large Steel Structural Parts NDT Robot" in Conference Room 6 of Lanshi Energy Equipment Engineering Research Institute ". The meeting invited experts from Lanshi heavy equipment company, Lanshi equipment company and Lanshi Engineering Research Institute and other related fields to form a review group.
At the meeting, Sun Zhenguo, director of the Institute of Industrial Automation, reported on the project plan of "Development of Principle Prototype of NDT Robot for Large Steel Structural Parts. Sun Zhenguo pointed out that the research goal of this project is to develop a prototype of TOFD ultrasonic flaw detection wall climbing robot for steel spherical tanks. The main research contents of the project include robot body design and manufacture, robot software and hardware control system design and manufacture, ultrasonic flaw detection system design and manufacture, prototype performance test and field test test; at present, the project has completed the program demonstration, basic research and system design, unit module trial production and outsourcing module procurement, and is undergoing system integration and comprehensive debugging. In the report, Sun Zhenguo also gave a detailed introduction to the design scheme and performance indicators of each module.

Subsequently, the experts had a full discussion with the expert team of the Industrial Automation Institute on some of the questions in the project programme. Finally, the expert group agreed that the "large steel structural parts of the non-destructive inspection robot principle prototype development program" is feasible, and the follow-up design work of the project put forward suggestions and expectations.

The successful passing of this scheme review marks the successful completion of the milestone of the first phase of the Lanshi project. At the same time, it also marks that the applied research of industrial automation so magnetic adsorption wall climbing robot as the key technical support has entered a new stage. At present, the development project is moving forward steadily as planned.
