High-end Institute Held Retreat: Strengthening Political Learning and Exploring Future Development

On November 18-20, 2016, the High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University held a retreat at the Sinopec Conference Center in Changping District, Beijing, focusing on learning the spirits conveyed by the cadre study class of Tsinghua University, and focusing on the operation of the high-end institute. The model and development plan were discussed. All members of the Council, representatives of functional departments, representatives of the Institute and a number of experts outside the hospital were invited to attend the meeting. The meeting was presided over by President Luo Jianbin.

Through the introduction of the construction process, team introduction, platform construction and basic environment construction, he summarized the development of the high-end hospital in the past two years, and put forward several major topics to be discussed in this retreat in view of the problems faced in the development of the high-end hospital. A number of research institute leaders who attended the meeting respectively introduced the construction and industrialization progress of the research institute. At the same time, combined with their own development needs and practical difficulties encountered in the process of industrialization, they put forward corresponding hopes and suggestions for the platform construction of high-end institutes.

Subsequently, as an important agenda of the meeting, all the participants studied the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and the selected works of Hu Jintao. Lu Zhigang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University, conveyed to all the participants the learning content and related spirit of the Tsinghua University cadre study class. Lu Zhigang mentioned in the transmission that we must have a deep understanding of the importance of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee, and build a "loyal, clean, and responsible" cadre team through strict management of political life within the party; Tsinghua University must strengthen the party's Work, mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers and students, and transform it into a solid work to promote reform; it is necessary to strictly govern the party and standardize the political life within the party, strengthen ideological and theoretical arms, the "four self-confidence". He also pointed out that the Sixth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee established the core position of General Secretary Xi Jinping. We must earnestly study and understand, firmly support, unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, and more firmly implement the Party Central Committee. The decision-making and deployment are implemented; we must implement the learning requirements of "Hu Jintao's Selected Works" and deeply understand the great theoretical and practical significance of the scientific development concept. Participants further discussed how to implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in the construction of high-end academies, and expressed that they would give full play to the leading role of party members and cadres, and reflect the effectiveness of comprehensive and strict governance of the party in various tasks of promoting collaborative innovation and development.

The retreat will deeply study the spirit of the sixth Plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and the selected works of Hu Jintao and carry out discussions.

After the meeting, the high-end hospital convened a hospital affairs meeting, and in view of the contents and results of the discussion at the retreat, a series of effective measures conducive to the construction, development and scientific management of the high-end hospital were put forward and formulated.
