Our hospital successfully held a lecture on high temperature friction and friction measurement

On July 4, 2018, Professor Braham Prakash of Luleå University of Technology was invited to give an academic report entitled "Tribology research at Luleå University of Technology (Tribology Research of Luleå University of Technology)" in the 419 multi-function hall of Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "High-end Institute") of Tsinghua University. Several research institute leaders, engineers and graduate students from the practice base attended the report, the meeting was presided over by Zhang Xiangjun, vice president of the high-end hospital.
Professor Braham Prakash first introduced the tribology research team of Luleao University of Technology, the existing equipment in the TriboLAB (tribology laboratory) and the "tribos" master's study tour course. Then he focused on the research progress in high temperature friction and friction measurement, shared the research results in mixed lubrication, pitting mechanism, friction of mechanical parts, etc., and put forward the research needs and research directions of tribology in the future. During the lecture, the participants actively asked Professor Braham Prakash questions and discussed them. The interactive atmosphere was warm, and the report would achieve the expected exchange effect.
Presenter: Professor Braham Prakash
Professor Braham Prakash is a senior expert in tribology. He has published more than 200 papers, including more than 100 journal papers including Tribology International and Wear. His research fields involve: the role and influence of wheel-rail interface tribology and rail grinding, tribology of mechanical parts (bearings, seals, gears, etc.), high-temperature tribology in hot forming of high-strength steel, friction and wear of materials (high-strength steel, polymers, ceramics, metallic glass, etc.), solid and boundary lubrication, surface engineering, analysis and coping strategies of friction failure. Professor Braham Prakash, who received a world-renowned master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1976 and a doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology in 1993, is currently a professor at Luleaux University of Technology in Sweden. He has served as a visiting professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo University of Science and other well-known universities, and served as a visiting editor of a number of international journals.
