Wheel/Rail Relationship and Maintenance Research Center


The Research Center for Wheel/Rail Relationship and Maintenance was led by Professor Zhai Wanming, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Academician Zhai Wanming has been engaged in the research of dynamics and vibration of rail transit engineering for a long time, and has opened up a new field of railway system dynamics research.

Relying on the team's scientific research advantages in the direction of rail transit and the accumulation of scientific research results over the years, the research center has carried out scientific research, achievement transformation, product service of railway and urban rail transit preventive maintenance theory and maintenance equipment, theoretical research on the operation safety of heavy-duty trains, and research on fatigue and life evaluation of rail transit vehicle materials. Based on the simulation calculation of vehicle-track coupling dynamics and the safety of heavy-haul train operation, the safety architecture of heavy-haul train operation is constructed.
