Surface Engineering Institute
Surface Engineering Research Institute is a research institution under the Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University. It is mainly engaged in the research and development and production of surface treatment technology, materials and equipment.
The Institute has 1 professor, 3 postdoctoral students, 7 doctoral students and 2 engineers. Among them, Professor Shao Tianmin (doctoral supervisor of Tsinghua University) is the director. He has undertaken a number of major scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National key basic Research and Development Plan (973 Plan), the National Science and Technology Major Project (04 Special Project), international cooperation and enterprise cooperation projects, and so on. In recent years, more than 100 papers have been published (SCI includes more than 50 articles), 11 international conference invitation reports, and 14 invention patents have been authorized. The development of several sets of friction and wear and surface technology equipment; Several surface engineering products developed have been applied.
