Advanced Energy Equipment Technology Research Institute is a scientific research institution under the Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University, which was established on May 15, 2015. This study focuses on the design, calculation and analysis, software services and technical support of nuclear power plants, taking into account the research and development of offshore energy equipment. Under the current situation of vigorous development of my country's nuclear power industry, the institute concentrates on the nuclear power industry and undertakes outsourcing service contracts from China National Nuclear Corporation and China General Nuclear Power Group.
Advanced Energy Equipment Technology Research Institute R & D team strength, nuclear power design experience. The core personnel of the team include: 4 professors/associate professors of Tsinghua University, 1 researcher-level senior engineer, 1 associate professor of Xiamen University, and 2 associate professors of Northeast Petroleum University, covering mechanical structure design, mechanics, strength verification, fluid flow field analysis, and thermal Engineering analysis and other design fields. At present, the Institute has a total of 21 design and research personnel, more than 80% of which have a master's degree or above in key universities in China.
Service areas
The research institute takes nuclear energy equipment as the main research object, and provides consulting and technical services to research institutes and commercial power station groups in the field of nuclear technology.
1. Technical consulting services for small reactor design: for small nuclear power plants, provide relevant design schemes, manufacturing processes, computational analysis (nuclear physics, thermal engineering, mechanics, etc.).
2. The geological storage of spent fuel and the storage of medium and low-level radioactive waste: by learning from the advanced experience of foreign countries, the Institute quickly carried out research work in this area, put forward a project-feasible plan, and provided an implementation plan for the country's spent fuel storage.
Digital nuclear power station: Digital nuclear power station is a 3D virtual digital power station with complete operation logic, which can be used to verify power station design, verify nuclear power construction and commissioning process and other functions.
4. Intelligent Visual Big Data Service Platform: At present, there are tens of millions of video acquisition terminals successfully distributed around the world, which can collect and store 60 million videos to the cloud every year and are applied to various intelligent devices in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, smart home, Internet of Things, Internet of Vehicles, robots, unmanned aerial vehicle live broadcast, etc. Apply for 13 software copyrights.

The Institute undertook a service contract with CGNPC to provide technical service support.
At present, the Institute has been involved in the storage of spent fuel sites, and the state has invested hundreds of billions of dollars in this field.
In cooperation with CNNC, the Institute will carry out three-dimensional digital nuclear power work on nuclear power projects under construction.
The Institute has obtained a software service license from Dassault, France, and can provide services in China and Asia for the application of the software. There is a large market space for software service work in the field of nuclear power.
