On April 6, 2017, a group of four people from the Power Transmission Application Technology Research Institute of Tianjin High-end Equipment Research Institute of Tsinghua University (referred to as "Power Transmission Institute"), under the leadership of Director Chen of Tangshan Guye District Committee Office, went to Hebei Iron and Steel Tanggang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Tanggang") conducted on-site inspections and discussed cooperation and exchanges. Accompanied by the leaders of Tanggang, Guo Qijiang, executive deputy director of the Power Transmission Institute, Shen Peize, commercial director, and other relevant responsible persons learned about Tanggang's current operation status and future prospects, and went to the work site to observe the actual production operation of the workshop.

Tangshan Iron and Steel Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. is a modern stainless steel production enterprise with assets as the link and adopting the asset diversification model to revitalize the idle assets of state-owned enterprises, optimize the structure of steel products, and fill the gaps in the industry in the province. Stainless steel engineering is a key project in Hebei Province and Tangshan City, and it is also a project of Guye District. Tangshan Iron and Steel Company started construction in 2003. Up to now, it has formed a well-equipped steel joint enterprise with multiple functions such as sintering, ironmaking, steelmaking, and rolling.

After the visit, the two sides held a symposium in the conference room of Tanggang and conducted in-depth and friendly exchanges and discussions. In the symposium, the Power Transmission Institute introduced in detail the development process of the high-end institute, and elaborated on the talent reserve, research direction and latest technological achievements of the Power Transmission Institute. Director Chen of Tangshan Guye District Committee Office and Secretary Guan Kai of Tang Gang listened carefully and highly recognized and evaluated them. The talks were very harmonious. Finally, the two sides reached a preliminary cooperation intention on the future cooperation field and placed warm expectations on them.
